Funny how I just knew it was going to be a mouse. lol The ensuing antics of all four family members was a wonderful visual in my mind. Very entertaining to say the least. What a treat, thanks tim! As always, nicely done. -
Awkward moment for sure but the MC handled it really well, imo. Just the right amount of raunch to balance the seriousness of the subject. Nicely done Mr. Hazday and thanks to Mr. Google, I know what an otter is. Off topic, I think I missed chapter two of this tale has there is no Like with my name on it. Must go back and read it....

“Hey!” CJ called out, talking hold of Owen’s shirtsleeve as his dads started walking away. “Stay with me?” he asked staring, into the Aussie's red-rimmed, bright blue eyes. “Always.” Owen’s reply was so soft CJ barely heard it. *********** Sometimes, it's not what you say but how you say it. We know what Owen is really saying, don't we? Here's hoping CJ cleaned the wax out of his ears during that morning's ablutions....

I'm with B, I love this family. CJ's discussion with his delusional mother (did what was best for him, really? Alright it did turn out that way, but it had nothing to do with her) perfectly showed how far he has come. From lonely and lost to angry, CJ is doing just fine.

Hey tim Another riveting chapter. So many things too mention but since a lot has already been said I'm just going to say this... David! How could you be so cruel and heartless towards Jae? Sure, what he did to survive was really retched, but he was trapped by circumstances beyond his control. I am relieved he came to his senses. I just hope he lives long enough to make amends with Jae. Of course, I do want David to survive for more than just making amends... As always, nicely done

Phew! So glad Corey was able to calm down and revisit what he witnessed with a more discerning eye. I don't doubt they'll have more bumps in the road, it's how they handle them that will be the key. I think what we witnessed here was evidence that whatever comes their way, Corey - nor Jason - will turn tail and run but stand up and face it head on. Sad to hear that only the epilogue is left but I guess that old saying is true. All good things must come to an end. As for the release date? The sooner the better, I say.

Not that kinda 'fixed'! ***** I know that's not what you meant, but it gave me a good chuckle...and you know what they say about endorphins flowing. Hey tim With every chapter I read I find myself liking and caring about Dave, Jae, Barry and his sons more than I did before. I don't know what's going to happen with Sam's group but, it looks promising at this point. Now if only the marauders change course...perhaps a fallen forest or a raging river to block their path? Keep up the good work tim.

The family bond is alive and well and very expertly showcased in the birthday call to Brett. Follow up that up with the fun time at the game and all those touristy visits (had a lot to look up this chapter, but no worries, it was all very interesting). That ending with Liz though, a little concerning maybe...

It seems strange that I didn't notice it before - I've read this chapter a few times now - but tonight something occurred to me. While CJ's decision at the end to abstain from drinking - and to be aware of what is going on around him - is an important moment is his path to growing up, there is also an important moment for Owen at the beginning of the chapter. Owen's internal thoughts may not have come from the same place as CJ's , but they were important nonetheless. As in CJ's case, he is growing up and seeing the bigger picture before him. It's time to make adult decisions and leave childhood behind - and taking parental/grandparental wisdom with them as they go it on their own.
