Dugh, you made jogging seem so easy and free. :thumb: As for the type of verse, I'm no expert about that. I did like the lovely flow to the words and the joy felt in the ease of the run. Nicely done!

The importance of kindness.... It's hard to believe it's been nine years, I remember when this story first aired. http://www.cnn.com/2016/05/27/health/youssif-burn-recovery-2016/index.html

Chapter 16-Poetry prompt 15- Alone and Fallen Stars
Reader1810 commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 16-Poetry prompt 15- Alone and Fallen Stars
 for you my friend. Again, you amaze with the imagery of your words. -
Carlos, you have woven a magnificent tale that saw us, your faithful readers, experiencing the full gamut of our emotions. You truly know how to do it right and as a result, this story has been a treasure to read - and yell about at times. It's already been noted that there are a few lose threads left dangling.... As for any specfic commentary on this chapter, I think B covered a lot of that quite nicely. I'm sure I'll have more to say later, but I'll leave that for a visit to CJ's forum Final words...well done, my friend, well done.

I got 22 as well on my laptop. Tried it on my iPad, but the odd colour out was really hard to see on a tablet. My reflexes were faster on the tablet vs. the laptop.

At one time or another, haven't we all wished we could go back and change something in our past? Brett gets that chance and, remarkably, he didn't do what was expected. Instead, he chose to pass on empowering words to his younger self. Bit of a gamble maybe, but I think it paid off in the end. Great story and a great life lesson. )

Faris and James: The Party, erm … Event (Prompt 501)
Reader1810 commented on Mikiesboy's story chapter in Faris and James: The Party, erm … Event (Prompt 501)
Hey tim I'm thinking that Faris should have been a lawyer rather than a plumber because what a great loophole he found. Having an event for James's birthday instead of party was a grand idea and he pulled it off beautifully. These two - and Larry and Francis - are always a delight to read. It doesn't matter what situation they may find themselves it's a given that they will leave us pleased that we caught a glimpse into their crazy, silly but loving lives. As always, nicely done. PS: Will the secret gift giver ever be revealed? -
Love that Daniel's confidence and his trust in Carlos is growing. I see a bright future for both of them.

Wonderful story and I especially like the "flow-on effects" of this one gesture. That this lifted the spirits of so many is phenomenal.

Chapter 15 Dinner with friends
Reader1810 commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Chapter 15 Dinner with friends
I loved how Peter came to Patrick's rescue when the friends issue came up. Good to know he will always have Patrick's back. The dinner date was nicely done and gave us a good glimpse into the adult lives of Patrick and Peter. They dearly love Michael, but it's nice to be a grown up too. As for how John and Anthony met, knowing John's personality, it's not surprising there was some drama. I did appreciate the eavesdroppers because they were a great example of accepting gay couples as being the same as everyone else. All in all, another really well done chapter. -
Happy Birthday!!

Chapter 14 Confronting past and present matters
Reader1810 commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Chapter 14 Confronting past and present matters
Tardy with my review again...I shall endeavour to do better. Im really enjoying this story for a lot of reasons. To give them their due and because they'll probably pout if I don't, the banter between, to and at the angel and the imp was delightful as usual. I have to say though, there was a moment there where I thought the imp had teleported himself into Peter as he was quite "cheeky" there for a bit. Who knows, maybe the imp has a twin... The family scenes make me want to hug someone they are just so full of warmth and good will. Lastly, the chemistry between Patrick and Peter is perfect and so very sweet. Sort of a yon and yang dynamic, but I do think they are quite alike too. PS: tak for bekræftelsen Tim :hug; -
Hey tim Sad yet beautifully written and worded these poems are. Still, I understand completely and just the other day, well you know... Have to admit though, I didn't catch on to the meaning of Welcome Home. That's just me though, no reflection on the poet. As always, nicely done.

Story Review Featured Story: Song And Dance
Reader1810 commented on Renee Stevens's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Read this story and loved it!! :) The MCs Chet and Arron are warm hearted and engaging. The type of guys a person would be fortunate to have as friends. Like so many (all, in fact) of Gary's characters, there is a realness to them that leaves you believing they exist in the real world. -

My second cat was a stray that my brother passed on to me - he already had two of his own - so I really don't know how he became infected with FIV. He was discovered to have it when he was a few years old (he was less than a year when I got him) because the vet suggested he get tested. As clo stated, cats with FIV can lead very normal lives but should be kept indoors for risk of exposure to other cats. Even when he was diagnosed with an opportunistic kidney disease, he did quite well for another year or so. Along story short, I got him as an almost year old cat and had him for 10 years. Another thing, I've had a couple of cats who were former strays. They both were super affectionate and not aloof in the slightest. I used to joke that my black one had dog blood in him he was so friendly.

I have to admit up until that incident in New York, I didn't have an inkling as too how much CJ was still being affected by the all the negative things that occurred this past year. There were so many positives that they seemed to outweigh the bad. I suppose it's because he really didn't talk about them (what's that phrase you mentioned...oh yeah, crap happens, get over it, move on or something like that - sorry sanitized it a bit ) and I thought he had put them in perspective and put them behind him. Should have known better, he's still just a kid, after all. Even not wanting to be Owen's boyfriend and ignoring Owen's overtures (which came across to me as Owen being an older, pushy and needy guy - happy to be wrong on that count. ) didn't raise a red flag for me. The letter that CJ wrote to Owen was the perfect gift - so glad he went old school and actally used letter writing stationary - was really well done and I'm sure it made Owen very happy to receive it. you don't just tell anybody all that stuff but you would tell a somebody. I know it won't be for a while, (I hope the 'rents allow CJ to go to Australia rather than waiting for Owen to come to D.C.) but I'm already looking to their next get together. Report

Chapter 15 Poetry Prompt 5- Rhyming couplets- We Poets
Reader1810 commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 15 Poetry Prompt 5- Rhyming couplets- We Poets
sorry sd, but I need to get this out of my system So, Gary, I love the look you've given us into the mind of a poet and the process (and the "blood, sweat and tears") that occurs to bring thoughts and words to the page so that we may be a part of the journey too. It's all a bit magical. If anyone ever needed to know the true definition of a poet, they need look no further than your words right here. As always, nicely done but this time I need to add... well done, my friend, well done! -
Terrific chapter Lit! As Dugh mentioned a lot of stuff has been covered already and maybe this has too (I'm taking Dugh's word for it that the good stuff has been covered ) but this is my observation. I'm not surprised at Zach's behaviour. As soon as I read that he was "big" I just knew something was going to happen. I'm just glad it happened after the wedding so as not to spoil the day for the newly marrieds. I just wonder if this will be the last we hear or see of Zach considering he lives in Kingston and it's already been noted that Corey and Jason had a better than even chance of running into each other by accident. Hmm...
