  5. At first, I wasn't too happy with Patrick's resultant punishment due to his suspension - as evidenced by my comments in the forum. However, having had a few reflective moments since then, I see that it was a necessary outcome to ensure that future story line dictated "dominos" fall into a logical and realistic pattern. I'm looking for a particular pattern so I will be watching carefully as the dominos fall. I hadn't really thought much about the ne'er do well relative of Brett's but has spikey hit upon something in his theorizing? I could see him trying to causing trouble...foolish man. I have to admit, I had forgotten about Owen somewhat. Something else to ponder. Excellent chapter Carlos!
  6. Congratulations times three.! Love the cover art for Shades Champion. The new title works too as Dory really was Shade's champion. This story was the reason I bought a Premium content subscription. It is just that good.

    Days 8 to 14

Hey tim You've done it again! Reading your finished works, it all seems so effortless as they flow so smoothly, but I know it is not. I truly appreciate the stories you tell in few carefully chosen words. As always, nicely done.
  8. Incredble! I can't even begin to comprehend what it took for the researchers to figure out how to make this work...
  9. Okay, time to bite the bullet and admit that this story has reached an end. I was thinking as I read this for the second time, that Jared and Craig should write a how-to manual for relationships. They may have started late, but they certainly know what is important to get things right. They are truly equal partners and what each brings to their relationship is not judged as more or less than what the other partner brings. Kudos to them for not getting bogged down by that foolishness. I'm glad the situation with Bailey's bio dad and his family was addressed. The cousin seems like a good guy and I think he would agree (if he knew, which really isn't necessary at this point in time) that putting Bailey's wellbeing first is what is important. Martha was in full nesting force with the plans to make Bailey's room more little girl and family friendly - so nice to see that. Overall, this was a terrific story and I'm glad it turned out to be a "fail" as an anthology. Jared and Craig had quite a story to tell. They needed every one of these 11 chapters to tell it properly and properly "they" did. As always, well done my friend. Your talent as a writer and storyteller is immense. Thank you a thousand times for sharing that talent with your flock of hungry birds.
  10. Def, red is your colour! Lullaby is really lovely. Well done my friend, well done!!
  11. I'm really not sure what happened, but I'm guessing something "shinier" distracted me. One thing led to another and a bunch of years passed. I'll get to it soon. I hope...
  12. That was terrificDrew. Well done!!

  20. No worries Lisa. Sometimes you just need to get your message out whichever way you can. As for 4-4-16 that is very cool. I never noticed it myself. Good thing Pi Boy is around to point that out.

  24. Hey tim All out of likes (nothing new about that) ... three for three You have only just begun this challenge, but I have to say you made it out of the gate and are heading to the first turn with grace and speed. These poems are outstanding, be very proud of yourself. I know I am. As always, nicely done.
  25. I loved Patrick's inner revelation regarding the note to "his" family. Something so simple, yet not so simple in what it represents. Grethe's hug, a simple gesture, but it too, not simple in what it represents. I really liked the neighbour. It's too bad he's moving away as he would have made a lovely surrogate grandpa for Michael. I Oh well, he can always visit and vice versa and he's not going right away. think he is relieved that Patrick wants to buy his house as Patrick clearly indicated he did not plan to change the garden. The garden is a tangible memory of his late wife making it hard for Mr. Archibald to leave it behind - ie., the fear that the new owners might do away with it. Knowing it will be safe and well cared for has eased his mind beyond measure. Terrific chapter Tim. Thanks!
