  1. I usually don't read the the other reviews before, I write mine, but I did happen to catch a little of tim's and it made me laugh. tim may not be up to hearing about house renos, but I loved it all. In fact, I want that house! You had me at the sage green batten and board (I even googled that term to get a clear picture of it in my head ) I loved all the explanations Craig put forth; liking that Jared and Alan just let him run with it. As for Carly, things do see to be improving don't they? However, I totally understand Craig's being leery of Carly's changed behaviour. She has a lot to make up for, so there needs to be quite a few "changes" on her part before her new attitude is to be believed. As for the changes to Jared and Craig's home Craig's quite the Domestic Goddess isn't he? Course, he did admit to having the gay designer gene, didn't he. As always, nicely done Gary
  2. Hey tim What a terrific tale! I enjoyed it very much. As always, nicely done.
  3. Telling it like it truly is...made me laugh and made me smile As always, nicely done.
  4. Hey tim Getting the rhyming wrong is okay by me. Even though I read your intro (I like that you explain what you are doing by putting that in btw ), I didn't notice anything remiss. It was a smooth and easy read even if the subject matter was not. Your subject matter is compelling and it brings out a need in me to hug your protagonist...to have the power to set him free from all that pains him. As always, nicely done.
  5. Do you stay up late playing video games? Ethan did. The result? He saved lives. Of note, this will be my 3000th post so I decided to celebrate this milestone with some good news! http://www.turnto23.com/news/local-news/11-year-old-boy-up-late-playing-video-games-saves-family-from-house-fire

    Untitled Poem

Hey tim Loneliness, happiness, anger, sadness, hurt and anguish...this poem runs the gamut of emotions. Wow... As always, nicely done.
  8. This review is going to be short and sweet. You've done it again Gary giving your readers a real treat of a read. Thank you. Oh, as always, nicely done.
  9. One thing I'm seeing as Craig and Jared weather their ups and downs is that, no matter what, they won't quit on each other. They still have issues that erupt in anger and/or fear, but it will never be enough to end what is only just starting. I know that their love for each other has a lot to do with never giving up, but I think too, that because they actually talk to each other and communicate they will always be able to resolve any issue that comes between them. That and being able to lean on each other and accept each other's help is going to go a long way to making these two survive and thrive as a couple. As always, nicely done Gary.
  10. Hey tim A lot has been said about the Tait, Phil and Sean by the reviewers before me so I won't repeat their words. I will say I enjoyed this story very much and am sad to see it end - just when Tait and Phil are getting together. You have left us with the knowledge that all is going to right with their world so, I guess that will have to do. Two points I would like to mention. First, I realize Phil could not have guaranteed the timing, but I did appreciate how Phil herded Sean toward the door just as the police were arriving. Happenstance or by design? Or a little bit of both, perhaps? Second, thank you for giving Leo an HEA as well. Leo is one of Tait's rocks so being a happy rock can only make his life, and Tait's by extension, better. Not to mention that Steven has become a good and true friend to Tait. Shows just how wrong Sean was about Tait's value as a person. As always, nicely done.
  11. oops, could get the video to work
  12. New family, new friends....Patrick's world is getting bigger and better with this lot in his life. Moster Grethe is a lovely woman and I can see her filling one of the hole's in Patrick's heart quite easily.
  13. Hi Tim I'm very late with this review - seeing as how the next chapter is tomorrow. so I will make this quick. I love how the relationships (man-man, man-child) are progressing. It is such a treat to read because it is so full of "feel good happy" moments. It never fails to make me smile. Keep it up, will you?

    Memories

Hey tim That was not an easy chapter to read, but it showcased an important step in Tait's recovery and the reclaiming of his life. I understand Tait's desire to "take the path of least resistance" - I'm guilty of that trait myself - as it were regarding what he was asking for in the divorce proceedings. In this instance, however, his lawyers - and thank goodness he met with both at the same time - are correct in the approach of not making any concessions where Sean is concerned. He did something very wrong and there can be no wiggle room for things to go in his favour. As for Tait and Phil's budding love for each other. I'm thinking the timing is finally right for them to get together and I'm not sure that could have been said for them earlier in their relationship. As always, nicely done.

    Growin' Up

I guess it's time to admit Winter is over. Never thought I would want to prolong that season that's for sure, but I digress. I'm here to put in my two nickels...since I already put in my two (or three) cents in in the forum. First, CJ and Ritchie. Love those two together. I also love that Ritchie, despite the attitudes of his parents, is a sweet, lovable and very accepting kid. The entire chapter was great and has me looking forward with eager anticipation to the coming Spring. PS: Oh yeah, About that ending...Carlos!!
  16. Happy Birthday!!

    Turn The Page

Hey tim I Liked this. I know you are a talented writer so I am not "amazed" by what you have written. I do, however, appreciate how capably you tell a complex story in four short stanzas. As always, nicely done.
  18. I love how Jared and Craig are so in sync when it comes to so many facets of their lives. It's as if they were meant to be together. Bailey was cute the way she agreed with everything Jared and Craig said. She certainly, doesn't have Carly's disposition, that's for sure. As always, nicely done Gary. Thank you.

    Moving On

Hey tim Another terrific instalment of "Out of His Mind" Obviously, some time has passed and Tait is slowly improving in his recovery from the attack by Sean. With his growing confidence and restlessness to get on with this life, he goes to see his former employer and lover Leonardo. It was with trepidation that I followed Tait's journey to Leo's office. I wasn't sure if it was going to go well or cause a setback in Tait's recovery. Leo is not the prima donna I thought he might have been, but a warm and caring man. He knows he lost out with Tait, but rather than pushing away a reminder of his mistake, he embraces Tait's return. Downplaying the significance of his scar and creating a men's line that Tait will be the face of says a lot for his character. Leo and Phil have both expressed regret over not admitting to themselves or Tait how they really felt about him and both feel the guilt that staying silent put Tait in Sean's crosshairs. I think they will both do their utmost to assuage their guilt so Sean better watch out - Tait has some formidable allies in these two, I do believe. As always, nicely done tim

  22. So this review has been a long time coming, but I just thought of something that I might otherwise have missed if I'd done the review earlier. This has has nothing to do with my revelation, but I just wanted to say that I really liked that Cesar offered to have Christina visit with them along with Chipper for Thanksgiving. I thought that was a very kind, considerate and caring gesture on his part. Now for the revelation. CJ When CJ came to town due to familial circumstances his introduction and inclusion into a new "family" was the work of his dads'. His school acclimation and friendships with his peers was thanks to Harley's paving the way. Not that he couldn't have managed on his own, Harley just made it that much easier. Chipper Initially, what I was going to remark on focussed on CJ and Chipper's time at the canal. They played like the teenagers they are, but they also had a serious heart-to-heart. That they could interact on both levels was really good in my opinion. Now I realize that when Chipper talked about missing his mom and sister as well as his school friends, it dawned on me that his life was paralleling CJ's to some extent. Only this time it's CJ in Harley's role. CJ, Matt and the dads are pitching in on the familial front. Who would have ever thought that CJ and Harley could be so similar? Great chapter Carlos! So wishing it was Friday already...
  23. Jared reminds me of a shrub that grows in my parents garden called Pachysandra. Many years ago, while they were away I was left in charge of watching over the house and yard while they were away. Well didn't I just have an "Oh crap!!" moment when I found those shrubs flat as a pancake on the ground. I thought I had let them die. I watered them and hoped for the best. To my great relief, they were all standing tall and proud the next day. See what a little water can do? In that analogy, Jared is the plant and Craig is the water. Jared's spirit was withering away and Craig's love came to the rescue and made everything right again. Someone else might have been able to do it, but I think Craig possessed the necessary ingredients to make Jared truly come alive. On another note..loved the "proposal", the house plans (making it a home with Bailey's needs in mind) and Craig wearing Jared's shirt (the closenes it brought him). As always, nicely done Gary. Thank you.
  24. It was a great idea that Nick had, wasn't it? tim, I really enjoyed your answer to Nick's question. It was sweet and funny. And so totally true to the Faris and James that we all know and love. The smurf references throughout were very amusing with the final one making this reader go "aww, that's so sweet". As always, nicely done.
