Terrific review Tim. It's definitely piqued my interest in this story so my reading list has a new addition.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

I have to say this first, Jared may not be Bailey's father, but he is her daddy and that is what matters. The phrase "cool heads will prevail" came to mind as the drama unfolded in today's chapter. Craig had a goal so he devised a plan to reach that goal. He put aside his emotions...which were churning angrily, no doubt...to make sure his plan was a success and it was, in spades. I have to wonder if Ronnie's descent into oblivion was, in part, due to Carly's cruel treatment of him in high school. If so, that's really sad. It will be interesting to see where things go from here. Will Carly attempt a counter attack? As always, great chapter Gary.

Great chapter Carlos though it is rather sad to see their trip to Australia come to an end...it was very interesting and informative. Poor Owen, I think he may have seen there being more to his relationship with CJ because of his bad experience with his self absorbed thoughtles ex. Everything that relationship should have been was there with CJ. But, I do agree with CJ about not being boyfriends...it's just too soon and the circumstances aren't ideal for a relationship right now...might have been different had Owen moved immediately though...age and experience or lack there of played a roll to, I am sure. Back home, some surprises came too light. I wonder what will happen with Trip? I'll be patient and read Winter to find out. Chipper is here and seems to have seamlessly integrated into the group...I do think things are going to go well for him. As for Danno and Dragon being roomies, I'm not sure how I feel about that development...my Spidey sense is tingling and not in a good way. I will leave it to you Carlos to convince me I'm wrong... Is it next Friday yet?

Hey tim Very compelling start. I have so many questions, but I will be patient and let the story unfold as I watch for answers to my questions. As always, nicely done... now the wait begins for chapter two....coming soon, I hope.

Just when I thought Carly couldn't be worse than she is...the incarnate is what she is! Any sympathy I might have had for her has been washed away permanently by her diabolical shenanigans. I'm glad that Jared has come to his senses and let go of his pride and accepted Craig's help in whatever form that comes. I know this mess cannot be cleaned up over night but I do so look forward to Carly finding out that she has been outmanoeuvred by Craig and Jared. Excellent chapter Gary! Can't wait for next Monday!

Hey tim A sad tale this poem is telling. But it also is a testament to the power of real love. We are not omnipotent, but to be there and endure the hard times for the benefit of another is powerful in and of itself. As always, nicely done.

Interesting happenstance as I came to the part about the two birds diving and gliding. I looked up and saw the very same sight outside of my window...with a lot more birds. The flock that roosts across the street was soaring in circles diving with each turn as they sought their destination. It is a sight that never tires... As for the rest of your words, I like the idea of appreciating what has been and not worrying too much about what will be. Happiness is found in the here and the now. Fretting about what the future will bring detracts and soils what is in the now...so pushing that aside is a good way to live. Beautiful thoughts put into words. As always, nicely done Gary. :hugs:

Hey tim will I miss it? Will I know? Mighty big questions being asked in those few word. Not to start a big philosophical debate or anything, what I wonder is 'do I want to know'? I guess it depends on what you do or want to believe about the 'After' As always, nicely done.

Yay!! I had a Like!! It's early yet, but I can say with certainty, this story is going to be good! Craig and Jared I like. Mom too for putting Carly in her place. As for Carly, she wasn't born, she crawled out from under a rock. What a wretched excuse for a human being she is. I hope chapter two comes really really soon....*fingers crossed* Well Gary, I think it's safe to say, you've hit another home run with this story.

The more I get to know Owen, the more I like him. It's not surprising that CJ is very taken with him as well, but it's the dads' reaction to him that seals the deal. They both like and trust him in my opinion...even "new dad" Brett. This bodes well for Owen's move stateside. I wondered how Owen ended up dating a douche like Dawson, but he probably didn't show his true colours right away. I do have one question...which I am sure will be answered in the next chapter...what will the dads' think of CJ wanting to keep his new hotel room given that it is on a different floor from theirs? As always,excellent chapter Carlos!

Interesting reflection Gary I was reading it and thought of ink blots. You remember those...see the ink blot and say what it reminds you of...usually the first thing you think of. Thats what I thought of here. One word (thought) led to the one beside it. Strange thought process, I know, but that is where my brain went so I'm sticking with it. I will say one thing for you Gary, you are a big thinker- that is a compliment by the way.

Hey tim You we're only half lucky in the parent department, but your mom saw the real you and knew that you, as a person, have great value. It's unfortunate that DD is too blind to see your value too...he's missing out a lot by holding onto his ignorance and bullying ways. I have to say, I loved the telling of the conversation between Michael and DD. I do believe the bully got quite a shock when he met Mike and discovered his bullying ways fell flat. Kudos for Michael for how he handled the situation...he has your back that is for certain. As for the sucker punch DD threw, that says a lot about his character...he got what he deserved, I just wish you hadn't been put on the casualty list, physically or emotionally. There is a saying Families are made, not born...I think you got lucky with your made family and I know they think the same of you - of that I have no doubt. As always, nicely done.
