    Brake Job

Interesting chapter. I like the shout out to Wagner. It may not be an Easter Egg, but I do recall a reference to him in one of your writings. As for that last line, let's just call it a fine (very fine) example of doublespeak, shall we?

    Human Touch

I read the chapter earlier this morning but needed time to think about it a while before I could put my review to paper so to speak. Like LitLover, I too found it difficult to 'like it'. However, while the content was heartbreaking, it was also beautifully done in its telling. I can see from other reviews, that I am not the only one who cared about what happened to Flynn. My first thought as I began reading this chapter was Flynn, Flynn who? In 7 short paragraphs you answered that question. The vivid detail as to the life and character of the man ensured that we couldn't help but care and be concerned about his welfare. It's going to be very difficult for Adriano and the twins to cope with the loss of their wife/mother and baby/sibling. I have a feeling they will remain in the D.C.area which means they will have the unwavering support of Danno and crew. Kudos to Doc for taking on the added burden of shielding his friends from finding out about Adriano's tragedy. Overall, it was an excellent chapter, just very very sad. I look forward to next week's chapter. The mood will shift, no doubt, as CJ intervenes, confronts, waylays (can't decide on the best word to describe how I think it's going to go down) Tommy's parents and their priest.
  3. My bad, I actually did checked out Alex Minsky when he was introduced so I knew he was a real person. I blame Ben Cohen for distracting me though - his picture would just not get out of my head. With Trump being so loud (and other things too many to mention or alternatively unprintable), I missed the part about Rubio's presidential bid. I like that you use real locations in your stories. It makes them more grounded in reality. Add your protagonists and supporting cast and it seems like these guys really do/could exist.

    Chapter 1

Lie of the Serpent. The serpent must be Wyatt's ex, yes? As with your other stories, you've caught my attention. Look forward to more chapters as the story progresses.
  5. I didn't realize that Senator Rubio was a real person until I saw his name in a news article. The same goes for Ben Cohen (OMG is he gorgeous!). Now there is Brian Sims. Who knew that reading Summer (and now Autumn) would be like taking Important Figures in American Politics 101? Makes me want to pay more attention to what they have to say as I'm thinking we will be hearing from them again. P.S. Congratulations on the SCOTUS ruling !!

    Chapter 23

The first bit of this chapter caused me to stop and start it few times as I just knew something bad was going to happen and I had to work up the courage to find out what the bad thing was. Once I did get paast the ominous beginning, I was hooked and couldn't stop until the chapter was complete. I can't believe I actually fell for the Pastor's 'promise' to help Silas (the noose surprised me). I look forward to the next chapter to see how this all plays out as the situation appears to be mighty grim at the moment.
  7. Mallory was blessed to have you and your kids as her humans. Your words show how much she was loved. Now I'm crying again for the ones I no longer see or hear. But as always, the happy memories conquer the sad - for you to they will one day...
  8. Me too. Love the clip of Freddie Mercury.
  9. I'd forgotten just how truly despicable and two-faced Lourdes and Colonel Dickhead are - I think some moulds shattered after those two were made. Cesar may have been underhanded in his dealings with them, but his manipulations were of honourable intent. He wanted to protect CJ by deflecting as much negativity away from his son as possible. The mark of a true parent.
  10. What a nice feel good chapter. Chet and Arron will make wonderful godparents.

    Board Champ

Little Drew sure "little" fella, isn't he? I must admit it was Sterling Tunder who caught my attention - ❤️ The name

    Epilogue

From start to finish and everything in between, what an absolutely wonderful story The epilogue was short and sweet with a nice wrap up on a positive note. Only, poor Sean hasn't found Mr. Right. Maybe you could do a short story with an HEA for him? Just a thought to ponder.

    NSA Solution

I knew something would be up with Jeff Talbot. People like him are annoying. They kiss up to the boss and treat the underlings like crap. My colleagues and I have dealt with situations similar to this on more than one occasion. For some reason, they forget that the people they interact with are connected in some way - be it work, friends or family - they actually talk to each other so the bad behaviour always gets exposed. I'm glad Bruce got reinstated. He may not have kept Mrs. Trask in the loop per his plans, but he was doing his level best to protect John and Dean. She hired him to keep them safe and that's just what he did. If only it would so easy to bring down so many bad guys....
  14. The stakes are getting higher. I hope Dean and John catch a break soon.

    Back to IU

I'm still a little lost when it comes to the technical stuff, but I'm okay not knowing those details. It does not dampen my enthusiasm for the mystery and intrigue prevalent in the rest of the story.

    NEW YEARS EVE

It was a nice trip down memory lane reading about the songs played at the club. I had flashbacks to a very lively and entertaining concert courtesy of the Village People when they did an outdoor concert at my university. I also like that all the guys seem to be doing so well. Sean, where to start? He is just fun and sweet. Roy. Is he the one? Time will tell.

    The Holidays

It's been said that when I transcribe messages that I "tell stories" so I can totally relate to the wordy explanations that Ozymandias makes mention of above. The only thing I have to say is that your descriptions of their dinner had me critiquing the menu choices as my taste buds are too pedestrian to like some of what is mentioned. I still scratch my head at what people see in yams and sweet potatoes. Thankfully, when I spent Thanksgiving with my brother and his family last November there wasn't a yam or sweet potato in sight.
  18. I'd forgotten about the wonderful and sweet coming out moment in front of Colleen and Big Mike. Thanks for the reminder. Baby Aceto (or is it Aceto-Dooley?) scored a big win with those two as grandparents.

    Snow

Nice laying of the groundwork to further the intrigue. I'm hooked!

I think I want to move to North Ash Drive.....

    Thanksgiving

The explanation regarding Dean's project went over my head so I welcomed the change to Turkey day. It was nice that the neighbours got together and celebrated the holiday as a "family". My suspicions regarding Sean have abated with the events of this chapter and, for that, I am thankful. It would have been terrible to have him be a bad guy in light of the support he offered regarding Dean's realization that he was gay.

    Fall semester

With that last paragraph, I was expecting an attempt to run Dean off the road. Much to my relief I was wrong. Dean and John's relationship is developing at a nice pace.
  23. Ty, Justin and Jacob seem to be a good bunch of guys who accept each other for who they are (eg slobs vs non slob) and don't have issues with their differences. A nice fit for Dean as he navigates his way for the first time on his own.
  24. The blind date is his cousin? Never would have imagined that scenario. Oh well, at least Aaron and Alex should have fun on their "date" as it is evident they get along.

    Moving day

A nice change of pace in this chapter from all of the previous chaos.
