Sebastian sure got things off to a fast start. I was surprised that Kaya was home when the team arrived. KH is definitely stirring things up by revealing the existence of shifters to Kaya. I believe that he is following the orders of Cassiel's brother who is trying to bring the Veil down. Tyler's family are the best and handled the kidnapping, reveal of shifter society and most especially Elijah's and Tyler's mates with understanding and love. Ashton and Austin demonstrate that the human and wolf in them are back in balance. Some of the comments on computers, formulas and war have me reconsidering many ideas I thought were dead ends. Some supposed red herrings maybe should not be discarded yet. Of course since this was a happy chapter we can expect something very bad to happen in the next chapter. I would expect an assault by KH very soon. He has already in effect declared war on the pack.

Cats are also opportunistic. KH picked the most vulnerable and easiest family of the hybrid hunters to send his message.

Are you talking about the tears KH will have when the 2 angry moms tear him up? Or, the 2 angry moms who tear him up until he has no more tears to shed?🤔😉

I agree with @Mrsgnomie about Caleb. I don't think he is the snitch. KH has a very extensive network based on what he has been doing. I am sure he has been keeping track of the hybrids and when one disappears makes extensive investigations. He obviously did try to find out what happened to the hybrids that have been rescued after the three hybrid "owners" were left on his doorstep. He probably knows the home pack of each of the hybrids, so sending someone to those packs for a friendly visit could easily find out information about happy things happening to those packs. The recovery of a lost pack child would be good news easily shared. Another source might be among all the wolves that shifted in Texas to help Austin and Ashton connect their human and wolf forms. We don't even know exactly what KH is referring to as being stolen.

Rusty went on the offensive and Matty scored a rout then ran! I was lMAO the entire chapter. Zoey makes a great cheerleader. Matty has not impulse control when his is challenged, and Rusty is starting to see he might be the slightest bit gay. This story is truly living up to my expectations! Great work Laura!

Ricky does have a knack for getting into trouble. I wonder where he will end up this time? Maybe Horace can change the other guys randomizer into one of those guns that goes...

I personally think anyone who teaches hate in the name of a god is a gifter, and this one is one of the most evil of them.

Andrew is a piece of nasty shit!

Hi Gary! I'm happy the Leafs won! I hope you've manage to work some of the aches and pains out from all the heavy work you did.

Hi Albert! I'll be wary when I go visit Aod's family on their farm in the country! My cold is almost over, but Aod's cold is still a few days from getting better. How are you and Steve? Are you going to share your vacation photos with us?

Whoopee! All the thrills, chills and emotions of near death experiences without any danger. This plane sounds like a theme park for the universe! It's a good thing it is not common knowledge to the living universes, or there might be a sudden increase in the population! 😱 I'd advise avoiding cliffhangers Geron. The whole team might decided to jump off to see what happens. I wonder what new powers the team members will acquire? Also, which enemy the antagah will choose when they/it appears? I love Browbeat! It's too bad they can't take him back with them.

These are a great group of people that are lovable and very human in their needs and likes. I have to admit that when I was Toby's age, I crushed a lot on older guys like Frank and Tim.

We're OK, but suffering from colds that are about gone. Since it is usually warm here, colds are not common, but I caught the bug and gave it to Aod. Of course, we both tested for covid at the first cough. We also try not to stop us from doing normal things, but wear the masks to reduce risks to others. How are you doing?

I had fun reading this chapter! The new library was impressive and quickly filled with a lot of interesting clients. Browbeat is both fun and adventurous. I am sure his addition to the group will be very helpful. Browbeat was upfront with his interest in them, and I'm sure everyone realizes he is opportunistic also. He's in for adventure, fun and facts! The description of the parking lot and the Tor was good. I liked the details and especially Charlie smelling the unidentified spice in the air of Tor. Was Kip's choice of trees random, or influenced by his squish? I did worry about the captain at first, relaxed, then became alarmed as he captured the team when his ship was threatened. I think it was a cautionary act and will be resolved when the captain realizes that the team is in no way related to the whoever is following in the desert clipper.

What an interesting word! I haven't done this in a while, but had to look up the origins of the word. It is derived from old Latin for "gathering flowers". What a great description for this year's anthology of stories! Thanks, Myr -
That should be enough excuse for me to violate Drew's curfew. I can't wait for the fireworks to begin!

Got it! You're just like me! 😇

I love fresh baked bread also. I have a French Bakery shop half a kilometer from home. The baker is French, and I know the exact time the baguettes are put on the shelf fresh and warm from the oven. He also makes mini baguettes for sandwiches. It's heaven, and the bread does not last long in my home.

@Bft is right. It won't work. @kbois forgot to divide by the number of feet in a mile.

Internet has many resources to teach those interested in science much more than what they learn in school. National Science Standards in the US start to teach the basics of matter and energy conservation at the fourth grade level. If the boys were really interested at that age, the science demonstration videos and tutorials could get them to high school level in the three or four years. As a teacher I learned that many adults underestimate how much kids can learn on their own.
