Yes, we know what TC and his Florida stooge did to Massachusetts! Following in the footsteps of your mentor?

Typical Tyrant!

I am not sure what flash fiction is, but hopefully I will as I read this. I finished chpt 3, and decided to see what the story will be about. Now I have to go read the first two chapters. 😜 Have a correction to edit in this comment. I started chpt 1 and realized that I have already read the first two chapters. 😊

Very true, but posting a gif of that will get you kicked out of GA! Fast!
-
🤔 You got that right! That would be like reading the last chapter of the book first. It spoils all the fun, and kills the comments! 😜

Good Morning Everyone! You all seemed to have fun while I slept!

Hey Drew! Most of the territory you claimed actually should by rights belong to New Mexico and California, not Texas.
-
True! And they all live in Texas.
-
Hey All! I've got enough snark attacks on Drew to call it a good day's work. I am off to bed early. Have fun. Good Night

DDDrew! What are you sniffing?
-
Definitely Delusional! I think I'll start referring to him as DDDrew.

The description of the "castle" as being a cross between Frankenstein and the Wizard of Oz was fun, but the doorman/wizard was definitely a tribute to the Wizard of Oz. It was fun to see how fast Kippy and the team figured out Chirka was a Kift from her laugh. As things lightened up the things Chirka showed them were very interesting. The windows into the personal universes created in the spirit plane almost had me believing that this might be a crossover story to the Doorways series. It is an amazing journey they will be taking. I do wonder why Sifton has decided not to continue. He didn't have any problem with the three spirits he has met. Is there someone in the spirit plane he does not want to see? I like the idea of the library, but didn't see a mention that their magic would work in the universe they would create. Did they just assume that it will work because they have squish?

OK I can deal with that.

My first Obon Festival in Portland had a Taiko Drum team of 25 from Seattle. It was unbelievable!

I do believe that Spike's suggestion was just limited to the state of New Mexico.

Forget it Cutie! In Thailand birthdays are culturally significant! You can lose friends if you don't celebrate with them. Thai birthday parties are always a big event in which the birthday person pays for a lavish birthday including food, drinks and entertainment for their friends and family. The smallest party I have ever seen here is 20 people and the biggest 80. I'm not going to be the friend that doesn't show up! Birthday presents for the adults are often in bottles of booze or money added to a money ribbon around the neck. This is a picture of the birthday party I attending for two friends, Naw and Top, last week. At the peak there were 60 people there.

Wild beginning and looking forward to more!

Chinese holidays are also celebrated by Thais. Chinese New Year is 15 days long. Song Khran is the Thai New Year and is three days long. There is also Loi Krathong, and Yi Peng. Then there are the Buddha and Thai National holidays, such as Independence Day, Constitution Day, King's Birthday, Queen's Birthday, Great Kings' Day, Plowing Day, Teachers' Day, Children's Day. The Buddha Days are about 7 or 8 days per year. Of course, we cannot forget that birthdays start the night before so they can wish the person Happy Birthday at 12:01 AM, sing Happy Birthday (English and Thai versions) and cut the cake. This is followed by many toasts lasting till the wee hours of the morning. Of course, I will also take advantage of US holidays and cultural holidays I celebrated there such as Obon Festival and Cinco de Mayo. (Yes, Drew. I remember you had to correct me that it is not Mexico's Independence Day, but in your honor I will celebrate that day too!) Like I said. I will be sure to take full advantage of Drew's offer.

This is a story that is exactly what the title says, Epic-logue. As other reviewers have said, read the books before this story. It's more a novella and brings the whole series to a wonderful place in the lives of the characters. It brings closure and happiness with it. As usual for MrsGnomie, it is wonderfully written with characters that already feel like old friends. It is filled with a great deal of humor and love. A lot of the humor is inside jokes you won't understand if you have not read the first two books in The Board Members series. This is a true HEA epilogue I highly recommend.

@Mrsgnomie It seems as though I have been following The Board Members for a long time and they are all old friends. These stories have been amazing tales that have thrilled me and chilled me. I feel emotionally connected to so many of the characters. I just wanted you to know that you are very appreciated, and I look forward to all your future stories. I like that this Epic-logue has brought Jay's Loelife's characters to a great place to leave them HEA. I have read and enjoyed many series, but still love stories that have a great beginning and a wonderful, satisfying end. Thanks for all you hard work. ❤️

Thank you @Mrsgnomie for this beautiful last chapter. I loved every line of it. It was a touching end to the beautiful story started in BN. Your stories are full of life and love with characters we can all love and feel for. The Board Members is definitely your best work to date. I look forward to the other stories you are currently working on. Congratulations on a spectacular job done excellently! PS. I liked how Loe's parents ended. Quietly without mystery or fanfare. May they remain in obscurity forever!

According to 24/7 Wall St. there are 26 different calendars used worldwide. I suggest sticking to the regular one we are familiar with. It will prevent a lot of discord in comments. 😜

@Mrsgnomie, I agree that your stories have evolved a lot since the first you wrote, and are much better. However, IMO the beginning stories were way above average, and I loved reading them. I would advise everyone here who hasn't already read these stories to use the next two months (fingers crossed) to read them! Mrsgnomie is being extremely modest and humble. The only fault I have with these stories is that @kbois wasn't around to stir up a lot of trouble in the comments. Tied Up In Knotts, Still You Love Me and Three Strikes all earned 5 star reviews (and there were many reviews). My personal favorite is Three Strikes, because I love the DONNAS.

Since a lot of pseudoscience in literature has inspired a lot of real science inquiries and discoveries, maybe the Nobel committee should award a Pseudoscience Nobel Prize for the most creative and intriguing ideas in pseudoscience.
