What a fun word to say! I love it. Even more fun are the dozens of synonyms for this word. Words like ballyhoo, bobbery, corroboree, hoo-haw, hubble-bubble, hurly-burly, kerfuffle, and willywaw are just a few. It originated in the American West, and first known use was in 1848. Foofaraw was used to describe frivolous trinkets, baubles and gewgaws. Credit to: “Foofaraw.” Merriam-Webster.com Dictionary, Merriam-Webster, https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/foofaraw. Weirdo in a Strange Land
raven1 commented on Grumpy Bear's story chapter in Weirdo in a Strange Land
Wow! A lot to think about. First, Charlie is a very discriminating cat. I love it when she sent Tearoom Ted flying out of the bar. That she like Shivay was nice, but brought to my mind a scene from my past that was almost identical. I was visiting Singapore as a tourist and went to a local gay bar. I met a very handsome young university student from India. During the evening, we spent time talking, and I must say that Siku and Shivay's conversation were almost word for word the same as the conversation I had with this young Indian. Everything was identical except living with the parents. My acquaintance lived in Singapore and went to school there to get away from the parents and the arranged bride before he had to return again for the marriage and a life of comfort and companionship. Love was not a part of the deal for him. As for Colt, I just don't like him. Not because of his occupation, but because Colt seems so selfish and self centered. -
Quite the house for a big guy like Siku. Loved the description of the house tour. The Nebraska ladies were both fun and annoying. I expected them to follow Siku into the bar. I am sure they'd learn a lot more than gay men bite during sex.
-
Siku has found his feline, female soul mate. Being a cat lover, I can see many hilarious times ahead for him. I get the feeling the cat will recognize Siku's mate faster than he will. I am also sure she will give the rest of the suitors a lot of trouble.

What a great farewell party. Good food, good friends and good sex. Excellent writing, and far beyond just good.

Great wake up call in the morning. I wasn't sure breakfast was enough for Siku, but lunch more than made up for it. Siku could really fit in Sturgeon Bay, but his mate is his first priority. He's a quick study, so I don't think he will be in Sturgeon Bay for an extended time. It will be a bittersweet moment when he heads out and leaves his friends to seek his mate. I had a very enjoyable time reading this chapter.

Axel has some traveling to do if there is a problem with the Ellesmere Island werebears. I am hoping the couples sent from Atikokan will be safe there. Siku has a great reception from the bears at Sturgeon Bay. He needs that kind of support as he gets used to cities and humans. Gunnar and Mike are great hosts and will sure to keep him busy after their dinner. Tomorrow Siku will have a boatload of bears to keep him busy. I hope he gets some fishing in also.

I don't know what the voice in Siku's head was, but glad it listened to it. A very hot start to his journey. The drag queen was fun, but definitely not in the same class as Susie.
-
It is sad that Siku will have to leave Erik, Max, Ezekiel and his home to find a mate. The bears from Ellesmere Island were a big disappointment to all. Hopefully, they will become at least more tolerant of others as they spend more time in Atikokan. I am looking forward to following Siku on his quest, wherever it leads.

Smooth as the silk in Bill's PT uniform, this is a wonderful romp with the bears in this series. As always the writing is superb and the plot compelling. This story fits so well into the series and is filled with the same excitement and surprises as the rest. It brings in many of my favorite characters while creating some very interesting and new characters with unique powers. This is one awesome read.

Epilogue – Training Day Surprises
raven1 commented on Grumpy Bear's story chapter in Epilogue – Training Day Surprises
A fun addition to this great story. Bernie gets his newly refurbished and spit polished Papa for the weekend, as well as control over a new power. Karhu gets is demigod Cub and things look good for them. I love that the wights have adopted Rodney and he an Marcus are going to finally get Billy where they want him. -
A very interesting ending to this chapter. Several nice hints about future stories here. Susie and Apollo raising the human kin, Siku about to go out on his own and Bernie becoming a demigod would all make fine stories. Looking forward to the next. I am almost caught up by weeks of binging, but it has been worth the effort!

It should be a fucking good day. I definitely was a fucking good night! Things are becoming more clear. Adam's comment which repeated something his Grand Papa bear said is prophetic.

I love the comments to this chapter. They are filled with imagination and hope. Knowing that Bernie is under the care of Odin and will survive is a big relief. I am not sure about Karhu since he as a karmic debt to pay. Rodney is still the big puzzle. I fluctuate between thinking him as possessed and then that he is a great actor. I do suspect that Bernie will need to used the power of Odin before the day is out tomorrow.

Hi Drew! I see the mad bomber is back in business. But like all others these ended like this.
-
Hi Page! I see you got some good jabs at our favorite trickster today. Good job!

If ever there was a lycan wolf that could take Axel down in a fight, it would be Susie! Axel at least knows how to protect his balls. Rodney is a concern for me. He not only has advanced the date of the sacrifice, but is in danger himself from both the gods and himself if he can't get the wights out of his body. The build up to the battle is awesome.
-
Oh my! It's going to be a noisy night with all the bombs going off.

SCORE!!!!

I do have to say your choices are much more modest than I expected.🤔

I do love the old Godzilla movies. The diversion was a great strategy and everything is right in my world now that Ricky has been rescued. The elves that seem to be missing in this reality are needed. With Blinkin's and Keerby's help I hope they are found. Nicholas may not be in this reality, or maybe he is with the hidden elves. If he is in this reality. Great rescue Geron! I wonder what or who the bait will be.

This is an excellent plot twist. I am wondering if they will need the Shaman from Duluth to help get rid of the wights in Rodney's body. This could give the crazy god's a way out of the problem they are facing.

I'm calling it an early night! Take care all!

Marcus is a kid at heart, and definitely needs a strong bear to help him right now. I am glad that Bill knows how to handle this. I am worried about Bernie and how the cavalry arrive soon. Will Matti and Ezekiel find out more information to help the lycan warriors with these ancient gods?

Nice abs! 😛
