  1. This is a story with lots of answers, and the answers generate more questions. As with almost all of the stories by James Savik, it is not only well worth reading, but also of being connected to even more of his stories. To me it seems a short read, since I'm used to reading stories of 8,000 to 12,000 words in a chapter, but well written as it is, it seems shorter than it is. Science fiction, science speculation, generating questions and some answers -- @JamesSavik, please sir, give us more!

  2. I think there is room for both stories. Just because in Hammerhead things are going one way does not mean that there isn't a parallel universe where things went differently. @JamesSavik -- I Would like to see both stories finished, PLUS a sequel (eventually) to "In the Shadow of the Dragon."
  3. I have read most of the stories in the anthology, and my favorite is @Myr's "Just a Milk Run." It begs for prequels and sequels. But every story I have read is really a good one, such as "Javelina" by @Cole Matthews, and "Born Into Punishment" by @astone2292, and "Trusting the Triplets" by @RichardWrites. I plan to read the rest of the anthology stories published thus far sometime this week. Special shout outs to @AC Benus and @Backwoods Boy and @chris191070 for what they posted this week, listed above,
  4. This is a delightful story. It is one which keeps surprising as it progresses, and helps see some traditions from a different angle. The story is both complete in itself and wide open for sequels Great job, Aaron!

  5. Actually, Nephilim/nephylim are found in the bible, in Genesis and Judges. Also the Anakim, or giants mentioned in Judges and First Samuel and one of the Chronicles,, are supposed to be descended from the Nephilim. The most famous of the Anakim is Goliath, of David and Goliath fame, and Goliath's four brothers, one of who was about a foot taller than Goliath. This is according to scholars and traditions. I don't know; I wasn't there. Also, there was another group called the Watchers, who may or may not have been an angel/human cross. Some sources say the Watchers were very well endowed in the genitals, but I have not been able to definitively track down those references. The Watchers are primarily referenced in the Books of Enoch, a non-canonical, extra-Biblical source. A very interesting and fun read, @astone2292. And I am greatly enjoying the comments from @Al Norris, @Parker Owens, @kbois, @CincyKris, @James Baxter, @Bill W, @84Mags, and @RainbowPhoenixWI.

    Chapter 1

Actually, @Myr -- We need at least one prequel showing why the scientists were on that location and what they were researching. Then we need multiple sequels to learn A) What happened when they attempted escape with the override of normal safety protocols -- did they 1) go into an alternate universe or reality, or 2) go into a featureless or nearly featureless quantum non-space or 3) have a big surprise and make a seemingly normal jump? .Enquiring and Inquiring minds want to know!

But, @Bill W-- as the series went on, Barclay showed more courage, such as the episode where he rescued the guys trapped in the transporter stream. I don't really think it is the same Barclay but the name sameness is amazing.
  8. I like, I like I like! Two seeming underdogs coming out on top by winning together better than alone. Well Done indeed, @astone2292.
  9. Good story. The kids were better at understanding than their mother. In many states the female of a pair has an advantage in custody and visitation over a male. Any chance of a sequel some time in the future?
  10. As my country rural roots might say, "Awright, @Myr -- just because this is marked "Complete" doesn't mean you can't post a sequel in 24 hours." Great story. Sometimes normal protocols MUST be ignored in an emergency.

    Chapter 1

And, is this the same Reginald Barclay from ST:TNG (Star Trek: The Next Generation) or just a coincidence of names?

    Chapter 1

Okay, @Myr -- You are posting chapter 2 in less than 24 hours, right? Good story. Great cliffhanger.
  13. Wow, more good story leads!

    Chapter 1

@JeffreyL, to find an author's stories quickly, hold your cursor over the circle with the author's symbol and click. This gets you to the profile of the person. One of the fields there is "Stories" and if you click on that, it gives you a listing of that person's published stories on GA. Another was is to go to the "Authors" tab on the GA home page (or at the tope of many GA pages) and click that. Then, on the search bar right under the word Stories, enter the Gay Authors name of the author for whom you wish to search out stories and enter. If there are multiple stories for that author, there may be page numbers indicating there are multiple pages of story listing for that author. Have fun!

Good story, @chris191070 and @hankster. (I noticed Hankster is the co-copyright owner, so must have worked with you on the story.) I liked the characters and the story. I also liked the description of the dinner Todd cooked. As a chef, Chris, I know you can definitely identify with that.
  16. Good story.
  17. I put mine on "vibrate only." With two members of my family having major medical issues, I have to be aware.
  18. Suffragette means "a female advocate of the right of women to vote, especially one who participated in protests in the United Kingdom in the early 20th century or one who participated in protests in the United States in the late 19th century and early 20th century." It is not connected to prostitution or harlotry at all.

    Batch 44

@astone2292, this chapter was even better than the first. There was something specific in this chapter I was going to comment on, and no one else has commented on it yet. But I got majorly interrupted as I was about to write it down, and will have to write it later if I find it again when I re-read the chapter in a day or three. Loving this story.
  20. As far as the current status of stories, with the links provided it is easy to click on each one and see the current status of a story. In some cases, if a story has 50 or a hundred chapters and is listed as Temporary Hold, Long Term Hold, or complete, the story is probably worth reading or it is unlikely to have produced that many chapters thus far. @Myr, I certainly appreciate these looks at various genres and sub-genres.

How did you and Hankster end up working in cooperation with each other? I predict there is an interesting story there, @chris191070 and @hankster.
  22. Updated post regarding the future of AwesomeDude, posted by Alien Son (John) on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023: https://forums.awesomedude.com/topic/72248-what-does-the-future-hold-for-awesomedude/ It also points out the problem(s) of not having an already defined succession plan in place.
  23. There are certainly some good stories and authors on this list -- Geron Kees, dkstories, Myr, W.L., R. Eric, AC Benus, Thorne Wilde, astone2292, Bill W., Laura S. Fox, Lomax61, Rob Colton, Headstall, Mawgrim, and now I have more authors to try. Thank you, @Myr, for posting this list.

    Chapter 1

Hey, great story. Now for the possible sequels -- John and Cindi have a surprise baby. Everyone in the family celebrates. Luke and Ben arrange surrogate pregnancies, and begin a journey of parenting. John and Luke and Ben have a big case with an important client and must work together -- But if no sequel appears, it is still a wonderful story. Well worth reading and enjoying.
  25. I notice there are two authors and one editor listed -- @chris191070 and @hankster. Superb collaboration, guys! Now, as for this wonderful story and its (hopefully) upcoming sequels, (See the end of chapter comments for my suggested sequel possibilities.) An enjoyable story of work, family, family forgiveness, and redemption -- and love. Well worth reading. I have known a few love at first sight stories IRL (in real life), and most worked out. Well done.
