You never disappoint, Geron! Reading this chapter right after the last was very satisfying. It’s a wonderful end to a fantastic not your kind of Zombie story. I loved how everything came together as it was being explained. I imagine Richie talking to his relatives in blue - “So, while you were sleeping...” If anything this story has solidified my case for a safe house or bunker. At the very least my go bag is ready. I think we as humans are way to arrogant in believing we are the only life form. They’re probably walking amongst us. 👽👀 Seriously though, thank you for a really great story.

Whew Ok. fire works, for now at least.. I am cautiously optimistic that the boys will figure out how to kill the zombies on the ground. Right now, I worry the beasts in the air.

Great chapter.. The boys are wise in continuing to be cautious, and wary of other humans. Simpler situations bring out the absolute worst in people so I can only imagine (if and when), who they’d encounter and how they’d attain trust.

Like the last chapter, this one was most excellent.. vivid sense of abandonment and eerie-ness (made up word) tension so taut, you can feel every moment. I agree with @Mikiesboy too.. This chapter is deeply affecting in it’s continuing plot intrigue.. It’s a plane..it’s a....?? Great job...

One of my best friends has admitted to those same fears. She cares for her mom who is at end stage Alzheimer’s disease and her dad who has vascular dementia. It’s an endless struggle, and the toll that it takes on the family, well.. you’ve expressed it perfectly here. I’m sorry you and you family are dealing with this. So, a zombie with an actual thinking brain should be an oxymoron, but I love it! added to all the other strengths it has I say the playing field is a little more even.. Makes me want even more eager. Great chapter.

It looks like Jack taught them well. The methodical and careful way they are is ingrained. That, along with your superb detail, had music akin to the Jaws theme song playing in my head. It set up the tension, and what do you know. Shots fired. A while day to get back to camp!!😖

All I have is poor, poor Becker. It almost hurts to watch him struggle.. I wonder what his breaking point is.. the thing that will make him stop punishing himself.. This was another well written chapter.
