You’ll Never Want to Leave
Defiance19 commented on Mikiesboy's story chapter in You’ll Never Want to Leave
It might take poor Nora a while to undo her curtsying.. hehe Because I don’t believe in them, I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Sam and Christian met. Christian is near perfect. He can feel the energy of the Sanctuary, doesn’t react either way to Finn’s wealth and meeting mom was so effortless. Now, whether it be Sam or outside forces that led him to Finn... And if Cynthia says Christian knows, then she knows a lot more. Her “Get on with it.” Had me wondering if there a time factor involved.. As for this heir glad it’s not only male... I had to laugh when Sam cautioned Finn not to be in love with him. That’s so Sam, but also he knows it’s Christian, right? Lol. As much as I like guessing what’s coming, I love not knowing and seeing how it unfolds. Terrific chapter, tim.. -
You wouldn’t have us any other way.. 😛

CJ and Carson..the tunnels... kids. Lol Did anyone really thing the guest list would not get out of control? Lol. I mean I hope the boys get it to manageable and where they can all agree, but this is no surprise Also unsurprising, CJ’s entry into political office. Yes, this is low level but it’s only the beginning. With his contacts and influence, I can only imagine where's he will take this group and what it will do for him. It is hard for me to imagine that Steven was not aware of Ruben’s heritage. I mean he has his beliefs tattooed on his body and spouts the hateful rhetoric. That’s pretty significant. Makes me wonder if he would have had sinister plans for Mr. Cohen later on. In any event, I’m glad other people are aware and he has CJ’s number too. Finally, Col. Edwards and CJ’s talk was great. I feel like he tempered CJ’s feelings about the incident a bit. I love these influences helping to shape our young man. And plus he’ll make sure Bead comes home! Great chapter..

Northie, what a thoroughly, captivating, and emotional read. To thine own self be true is sometimes so much easier said than done. This was never going to be easy and it almost never ends well. Kath too will be in a better place after a while, as will Ryan. It will be hard to see at first. I’m happy for Liam and I’m glad he had Rob.. Well done. Thank you.

Chapter 1 - The Sphinx
Defiance19 commented on CarlHoliday's story chapter in Chapter 1 - The Sphinx
Whoa.. that was really, pretty neat.. interesting and well done story. Thank you. -
In this highly sexualised world, I can’t imagine how difficult it must be for someone who is asexual to feel like they have to constantly defend who they are. I’m glad Jason found others like him. As always Val, you write wonderful stories with such interesting subject matter.

It is sad that it took Eric cheating, for Brian to see how he played a part in the breakdown of their relationship also. Sometimes when you’re so caught up in your own head you lose sight of what is important and lose people too. It’s not deliberate here, but the effect is no less hurtful. That Eric was so okay with his brother dating Brian, speaks volumes. He was really over Brian but he didn’t think Brian was a bad person obviously. I’m glad Eric was able to confront Brian as it allowed him to take a look at himself and make changes to be a better person overall and for Timothy. Love Timothy btw.. Well done!

It took them so long to get there, I want them to go Disco Camping! Heck, I want to go. Wonder if my local Meetup would be open to adding that! Lol. I always enjoy your stories.. This was no exception. Well done, Jfalkon.

“Oh Eddie, definitely. While Bryan and Wyatt are whom I would consider the main protagonists, Eddie is a strong third and is definitely a dynamic, sympathetic character who deserves his own love interest.” So we should look forward to this? When? When!!? 😀😆 Great interview!! Loved this story. -
What saddens me most is that this is all too real. I feel for both Cyril and Stuart.. it is sad that Cyril truly believes that he belongs with Fred. this dysfunction and abusive cycle is all he knows and is his normal. Unfortunately it may be too late when he realises it doesn’t have to be. Well done, Puppi.

An Accidental Clarity
Defiance19 commented on Menzoberranzen's story chapter in An Accidental Clarity
This was so very well done. There is much that is relatable. So many times I’ve said, I want out of my life for just 5 mins. (I’d take stepping into an alternate universe) Who at one point hasn’t wished or wanted to be someone apart from themselves in whatever way, just to breathe, even. Will acted on it in probably the worst way, but this is honest and real storytelling. Thank you for sharing. -
Well done jay.. very sweet story with a wonderful ending to boot!

I watched it because I like Guillermo Del Toro’s work. The creature had its Finn in the form of a mute woman, and it involves a government agency with questionable motives. The plot was thin I thought. But it was brilliant cinematic work.

Ohhh... Nora definitely knows something. But my thoughts are jumping ahead. I can’t help but think that’s Finn’s mom will be glad to be off traveling. The Sanctuary holds secrets and maybe Finn knows more than he realises or now he is at home he will remember or uncover the mysteries. I also think that there is more to Finn than meets the eye. I have so many questions. I felt bad when he was shot down by Sam, but Sam seemed sad too. Did I say yet that I’m thoroughly enjoying this. No surprise.. looking forward to the next.

Salamander Sam and Finn seem to have a natural friendship. I like. I also like Christian. You feel the almost easy bond between him and Finn. Maybe it’s the hesitancy in the flirt game, but it made me smile. Okay so Sam’s diet 🤢is fit for a salamander I guess, but then he drinks Perrier.. lol. I have to say that when you described Sam, and when he was in the bath, it reminded me of the humanoid amphibian in the movie The Shape of Water.. I like your plot better tho😏 Great chapter..

I love Harley so much. And he’s really into Kim, huh... cute. Like this side to him too. This chapter was excellent. Loved the road trip and the stop at Pulse. Boys ran into Carlos. Lmao. As always, I do enjoy when you take us on tour... Thank you, C.

I’m just going to put this here before I move along. With all of Brad’s problems with drinking before, I don’t think he will be okay when he gets home. I hope not though. Oh my goodness.. Ritchie’s whining about watching the game as opposed to the Olympics could have played out that way in my living room. That took me back. Lol.

Fantastic epilogue... yeah, you got me with the dog, but you’re forgiven. Drake and Jimmy are happy as am I Thank you for another wonderful tale, as only you could tell it. ❤️

First at my grandmother’s house and more recently at my aunt’s we’ve found albums upon albums. Looking back and reliving memories was bittersweet, funny and everything in between. In others, there are people captured in time whose names we won’t know now but they are part of our history. I love this poem - it gave me all the feels.

story review Featured Story: Button
Defiance19 commented on Renee Stevens's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Great review, jp.. This was a good choice. Button was the first of Cole’s stories I read as a lurker in GA. It is an absolutely fantastic story. So well written, and Cole hits the mark with Button’s disability. It engages every emotion you possess. The ending was darn near perfect, I was smiling long after it was over. -
Oh tim, this is wonderfully done. I can almost grasp at the imagery and feel the emotion. I like the Haibun...there’s a lot more freedom of expression. I feel so, anyway.
