You do an incredible job bringing these scenes to life. I fully expected to find a jack and coke in my hand.. It got tense in the bar, I was waiting for something to happen glad it didn't. Haha, they basically did Fred a 'Bye, Felicia..' Nice use of Kip. I was a semi lurker, when I read Apprentice..Probably should read it again. Well done..

Funny how reading about a bunch of metal on two wheels almost made this girl feel like she could fit right in...(she would not) Great writing Carlos..

You're right. Sam was probably on his way to put it all on the table with Geoff. I didn't think there was enough for Sam to walk away from, so Geoff's compromise came at the right time. I did not expect this. I am glad that the predator got to see Lee and Marc together. Glad that he got to experience that and I think its something he needed. He is having the most unselfish, genuine thoughts and feelings he's probably ever had. You've done an amazing job pulling at the threads here Parker, but with the predator's decision at the end, I had a feeling of dread. And okay, so maybe I want him to do the right thing and be okay after all... Great job...

How did I miss this? I feel a crack in my feelings toward the Predator. Lee delivered a powerful line about mercy. It was Lincoln who said that mercy bears richer fruit than justice or something.. In receiving that at least from Lee, the Predator is beginning to crack too.. Marc no doubt is trying, but i would hate to be the Predator alone with him right now..

Sam panted down the crowded sidewalk, his steps heavy and tired. It was like the day was conspiring against him. The evening rush-hour train had been late again, and the car he'd entered was crowded. He was sweltering by the time he arrived at his stop, and he'd had to squeeze through the unmoving crowd to exit. Finally, the brothers have arrived. I don't even care that you left it there except I have to wait for the reactions all around. These guys are a great bunch of friends. Even the teammates who aren't privy to the real reason, stepped up. Glad to see Cory with so much support. you made it easy to see how hard it is for him coping with all of it. I said a while ago that Indie would make a good friend for Cory and I had to giggle at Indie's being nice to me. Underneath all that swagger is so much love.. And Lola... She rules! Loved the chapter...

I thought this story was going to be much harder to read because you know... But you did an excellent job. When Lev first said there wasn't enough light in his life, I felt incredibly sad for him and what his life was. Then came Jon, and there was a deep, soft warmth in the way you told his story and how he cared for Lev. The way it ended was beautiful. It seems to me they both brought light back to each other's lives. That speaks to hope, I think.. Brilliantly written tim...

Both very good Parker.. The first felt melancholy yes, but Melody brought a lift so to speak.. I enjoyed reading them both.

As ill advised as that plan was, (could have gone so very badly) and as justified as Chuck's anger is, I am glad that they did it. I'm sure there were better ways, had it been thought out properly. But, how can you be upset at a bunch of teenagers standing up for the right thing. We spout things like 'be the change' and these youngsters made a choice to not let the bigots determine their future. Now it's up to the responsible adults and parents to turn this into a teaching moment. Show them where they went wrong, where they could have done differently, and how their voices can still effect change in a positive way.. And back them up against the likes of They have a duty not to let these kids down.. This group is much more proactive and vocal than David's. This is why Chuck's idea is an exciting one, and I hope he doesn't meet with too much resistance.. I sense it's not all over yet though. Good job SkinnyD..
