  1. Thank you, Dathi! There are definately some things coming in the next chapter(s) that not only tie up loose ends to the story, but reveal even more than you might expect about our heroes. Thank you for reading/commenting--I appreciate it!
  2. The houses certainly are interesting--and it's interesting to see the tastes of Barry (the big house) and Dave (the treehouse in the woods).A lot will be coming up in the next chapter, so hang in there with me! Thanks for reading!
  3. Lit, you're right--their lives HAVE been in a whirlwind! But, think that's typical when you first move. And I have to keep reminding myself of Barry's energy level--he's been "locked away/protected" so far, this is his first taste of freedom in a while; is he running TOO hard, too fast because of that.Trust me, the next chapter is going to reveal a lot about our heroes! Thanks for hanging in with the story!
  4. It's a fun story! Really looking forward to Adam progressing (and think it'll be rapidly) in the somewhat agressive gay college slut boy and his oncoming misadventures--he's already on his way, hanging out at the pub within just a couple of weeks of his arrival. Just surprised he hasn't made it there before now. And, like you, Doc, was doing fine with the story--until the author's note at the end. Guess I picked up it after the "names changed to protect the somewhat innocent" was implemented, because I remembered all the characters from the first chapter (the name changes were made retroactively to chapter 1, and I got her after all of that.) Had to go back to chapter 1 and reread just to make sure I was following! LOL! Regardless, it's a good storyline, and Adam's adventures are sure to become varied, interesting, and fun! Good job on the writing!
  5. Very nicely done tale! You've got great characters, and did a superb job of presenting tentative effots at adult sexual exploration--the horniness (even when buzzed), the nervous tension, the strained conversation! Looking forward to the next chapter!

    Chapter 18

Nicely done chapter! Is it me, or does Opie know this parade of people coming in? Are there other stories to come based on those characters? And, of course, find out about Jonas' mystery man is gonna be fun! Looking forward to the next chapter!
  7. Devious? Me? NEVER! Chuck may be an interesting character study. Married, but playing, and playing games that go with it. And, he WAS at Dave's happy hour.... The house hunting is going well, and sorry I had to use so much space to describe the houses--but it's important to help illustrate both Dave and Barry's tastes. And the next chapter may help explain WHY it's important to review the houses! Thanks for the comments, Buddy!
  8. Liking the start to this story--glad I stopped in (It was labeled as "screenplay"; that format drives me crazy, and I normally bypass 'em!) Looking forward to seeing where you take this! Bring on the next chapter!

    It's A Shame

I"m loving Doc's calm, calculated approach to dealing with Chip--who's apparently incapable to doing mogonomy. No need for yelling/screaming/drama; Doc's intentions are quietly killing, like using a knife instead of a gun. And CJ continues to display remarkable maturity, and his stepping up to have his dads help doc is noble. (They'd have done it anyway, but CJ pushed the issue forward.) Loving the storyline, loving the direction--and was hoping for a little more detail on the party play but the entire chapter is just a continuation of your typically fine writing! Looking forward to more!

    Escape

YEAH! Furballs to the rescue! I love that they're able to no one "get" Kyles conscious thoughts, but his emotions--they immediately "knew" that Jim was no threat. Now, how are the almost unconscious guys gonna get to the pyramid? Are the furballs gonna form a mat and "carry" them to be healed? REALLY looking forward to the next chapter--and to finding out more about the intriguing history of the furballs. You've done well on this story!
  11. I'm now a bar owner. Got a phone call at 10am from Rex. After only 5 hours sleep, certain I sounded like warmed-over death. Took a couple of minutes to realize my phone had been ringing, and another “ding” for a voice mail indication. Looked at the phone, saw it was Rex, and redialed without calling voice mail. Cleared the throat before he answered. “Rex, it's Barry. Didn't listen to voice mail—what's up?” He could hear the sleep in my voice, and the bass rumble of vocal cords still half-asle

    Chapter 7

I'm really hoping that Galen continues to work past Ethan, but not buying drinks on it. Ethan has too many issues, Galen deserves better--and having Jody come back in his life at just the right time is a good thing! I'm actually hoping the guy Galen met at Jody's house (that asked him out) won't give up--that could be a fun match! Or does Jody know another guy and is going to attempt to be a matchmaker? Really enjoying the story!
  13. Such a moving chapter---from the emotional drama with mom and dad, to the release our two heroes earn at the end. Damn fine writing!

    Chapter 8

Nicely done chapter--each perspective shows the building curiosity and sexual tension. And the promise of knowing what happened to Thomas--well, that's as good a cliff-hanger as you could give! Damn fine writing here!

    Chapter 1

Incredible prologue! You've developed an interesting character set--and I'm looking foward to seeing where you take this! Good job!

    Chapter One

Nice start to a fun story! You've created some interesting characters, and gonna be nice to watch you how develop them and the storyline! You did well! Bring on the next chapter!

    Chapter 8

What a mess of interacting characters! You've done a great job of delivering lots of info, and weaving it all into a careful storyline. Good job--can't wait for the next chapter!

    Chapter 5

You did a GREAT job with your "matter of fact" reporting style of the abuse Ezra is going through--absolutely terrifying! And, the twisted approach his dad has to how faith should be implemented is truly mental illness, and raises the question of what the next purification ritual will be, especially once dear old dad discovers his boy with erections or worse, masturbation! Good job on this chapter! Please tell us Ezra will get some relief soon!
  19. GREAT job! Loving, affectionate, hot....helluva combo! You did well on this one buddy!
  20. You did well here! The egos can be more than a little arrogant (and irritating) but they're based on confidence. Gonna be fun to see more interaction!

    Chapter 10

Tough chapter! You did a great job in showing the conflicting emotions swirling around the camp! Can't wait to see how all this plays out! Where's that next chapter... <grin>?!?!?!?
  22. Military, Glad you're here! Whether it's in chat, or with the fine writing and wide variety of stories, there's always something (or someone!) of interest! Looking forward to seeing you around! Welcome!

    Crush on You

The Chip/Doc scene is moving and realistic--you did well on that! Especially love the way Doc's handling it...cold, precise, trying to keep feelings out it as much as possible ("let's be civil") and yet his heartbreak/loss is obvious. If you don't have trust, how can you have love--and sometimes, even friendship!?!?! Nicely done on this chapter, buddy!

    Chapter 34

Love the way the characters interact. Especially touching was the death of the old lady, and its impact. Sometimes there's no explaining how the spirits interact, but your portrait of that binding and loss was quite moving. You did well on this...and looking forward to more chapters
  25. Val, out of everything going on in Barry's life, it's the loss of his sons that still haunts him--and think you'll see that over and over. And, no mistaking it; it's a HUGH loss for him.Glad you're following the story! And thanks for the kind words!
