Barrett's visceral reaction to Todd's issues with his father makes me feel it will be difficult for Barrett to be civil to his boss at work. From Todd's description, Mr. Miller is one of those types who keep their emotions to themselves. It doesn't mean they don't have them, but believe showing them is a weakness. It's consistent with what we've seen so far, like fleeing the uncomfortable.
We don't really know the size of the ambulance service their dad has, but it must be at least moderately successful. It's a tough business with high equipment, labor, and insurance costs. I know here until a friend of mine started one no one really made any money with them. He made it a cash cow.
You have to toot your own horn and Todd does a poor job of it by accentuating what his father sees as underperformimg, like the bit about his minimum wage job.
He just set the stage for what followed.
Anthony actually backing Todd up was a pleasant surprise. Todd didn't do himself any favors by omitting the fact he was getting offers for commissions for his art work. Cold hard money you can live off of makes it not a hobby.
Exactly my thought .
I'm have far less confidence than Anthony this won't affect Barrett's job, especially if Daddy Dearest finds out his love interest is Todd.
The art show turned out well for Todd and Anthony's reaction was emotional, but positive.
Todd has a start on his artistic career, but it will be a slow process.
Todd has experienced how devastating jealousy can be, but can he learn from it?
These secrets, like hiding from Anthony, trouble me.
