A friend picked me up saying he was going to buy his wife a Rolex for her birthday. We were on the interstate and he sees ship masts off to the right. He buys a sailboat instead, which he says she'll like just as much. She didn't and we don't even live close to a body of water where you can use a sailboat.
This same guy and I were coming back from Florida and went through Atlanta. He had me stop at a Porsche dealership and decides to buy a 930 Turbo. He gets mad they wouldn't put it on his Amex black ca rd. They didn't know what it was. To be fair, he had on a visor, t-shirt, cutoffs, and flip flops. He looked like a bum. He looks at me and asks if I'll write a check for it and he'll pay me back when we get home.
"No, I'm not buying a car you'll end up keeping two months and get rid of."
They kept calling him for months trying to sell Mr. Spur of the Moment that car.
