  1. These are the requirements for an Osteopath in AU. Complete an undergraduate degree in Health Science or a related field. Pursue a Master's degree in osteopathy from an accredited program. Obtain a current First Aid certificate. Register with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) upon graduation In comparison, an OD in the US needs a Batchelor's degree, four years medical school, and then one to seven years residency working under other doctors. They can prescribe medications and treat patients at the hospital.
  2. They might be regulated in Australia, but they are n ot equivalent to a US osteopathic doctor.

    Chapter 30

Personally speaking, I prefer yellow gold myself. I was trying to look through River's eyes.
  4. Osteopathy and osteopaths shouldn't be confused with the legitimate and licensed medical practice of osteopathic doctor. It is a pseudo science and alternative medicine.

    Chapter 5

James was totally serious when he told Greg he was now family. He's integrating Greg's father into his business. Scott's uncanny strength and lack of sweat is noticeable to the others as well.

What we all want to know.

    Chapter 3

The attraction between Greg and Scott seems obvious to everyone. I think it will be next to impossible to keep it a secret when school starts.

Well, I'm guessing sparkling is a no.

    Chapter 1

I'm getting the feeling that somehow Scott is Mr. Z's grandson. Not sure how to account for the age difference yet. We'll see.

    Chapter 30

You should have asked a jeweler. Why do you think so much women's jewelry is white metal? It looks better on pale skin. And why not white gold you may ask? All white gold jewelry is plated with rhodium to make it whiter.

It's true for much of Asia, but Asia is a very large place. Japanese generally tend to be more discreet.

    Chapter 30

About River's new collar. He strikes me as more of a platinum guy. Kenji too.
  13. My Banality Predicator ™ is whirring loudly, indicating the imminent arrival of something insufferably banal. Eyes should be shielded, duck, and cover.

    Chapter 30

And we see River at his most self centered point. It's so unusual for him.

    Chapter 30

Well, here we are. It's where I could see this going. Kenji is in a very traditional and hidebound group. His father notwithstanding, it's hard to see how he can continue to function effectively in this group. It's also hard to see how Kenji will fix this. The only sure fix is rather messy.
  16. Banal is such a neat word. It can be correctly pronounced in a number of ways, but I like buh-NAHL myself.
  17. Banal was taken directly from French whe re it referred to a feudal lord's right to charge fees for common use of any property in their domain, like mills or ovens.
  18. Well, you may view it this way, but the original phrase was "good at none."
  19. More often than not, dilletantism is used as a pejorative or criticism.

    Chapter 36 S2

A nice and mundane Christmas Eve holiday together. Although I believe I would have been bored out of my mind there.
  22. It's a play. I left out Shakespeare and Beckett too.
  23. @Zombie You did such a fine job of defending Sherlock Holmes you get an honorary powdered peruke wig. Deloused, of course.
  24. Being a site for readers, it would be a terrible oversight to not include at least a partial list of misanthropic books. Candide by Voltaire Animal Farm and 1984 by George Orwell Lord of the Flies by William Golding The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger The Stranger by Albert Camus No Exit by Jean-Paul Sartre Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte Rabbit, Run by John Updike
