This is an epic tale following the life paths of two boys born into different social stations who love each other. Separated by the the same violent attack on their lands, orphaned, and each believing the other dead, one finds a kindly benefactor and his salvation, while the other is led into years of twisted abuse which breeds an insatiable desire for revenge. This is a morality play, a rousing adventure, an inside view of court intrigues, and a tragedy of lost love. Nosegay is a purely English word created in the 15th Century. At the time gay was synonymous with ornament. So nosegay was something pleasing to the nose. -
Ed is happily living with James under the name of Kit. He's happy and his days of using his sword are behind him. Edith picked her son's savior well. Larkyn may never be King Edwulf, but he'll live a happy life far away from court intrigues. Fran saved Ed more out of his memories of love and selfish desires than goodness. The image Fran sees in the antique mirror is his soul. The once innocent Fran is now The Fiend. He will live his life fulfilling his revenge, but forever loveless. Thank you @Stephen Wormwoodfor this marvelous tale.

When talking about Micco's father, they said he's gone now, but what does it mean? Gone as in dead or just disappeared? We definitely get the vibe he wasn’t a good person and very likely the reason his mother fled. Was he the one who killed his mother and sister?

It sounds like a weird query to my ears. How would he not know it's his own blood? Micco is in the too familiar between rock and hard place. If he tells anyone, they will assume he is having fugue states and if he doesn't, he thinks he's having them.

I had wondered if the comment about thinking about Chase as a brother was the catalyst behind Chase leaving. All these years of painful separation were based on Micco's misguided lie. Chase has always wanted exactly the same relationship Micco desired. Is Micco really experiencing fugue states or is someone cleverly gaslighting him. I'm thinking it's the latter.

I'm wondering what initiates the change. Simon has discovered through Yidian magic isn't as difficult as Qualls was telling him. I believe with some thought Simon could suppress Connor's change.

Maybe Simon will warm to the idea. I figured Qualls had some kind of agenda. As Yidian said, he isn't to be trusted.

Being gang banged is a rough way to gain power and allowing some unknown entity to share your body is sketchy. Needless to say Qualls left out an awful lot of details. I hope this isn't a big mistake.

Rescue is only moderately better than captivity by the goblins. Simon has the right idea, there is nothing left for him here.

The goblin chieftain treated Simon like he was a great treasure. I'm guessing he told the other one Simon was off limits. Amos might be out for himself, but he's not quite as bad as he first appeared.
