    The first thing which popped into my mind was Lancelot du Lac or Lancelot of the Lake, but lac comes from Persian and Hindi sources rather than French.

    Xavier and his companions are not only list as far as place, but also lost in time. Was this purposeful or a mistake? I have to think there is purpose behind it. Unknown challenges lie ahead of them.

    My impression is Ogomo and his sister haven't returned since they left. They would have been unlikely to have known about navigating the waters then and presumably none of the crew are pfamiliar with these waters. Hence my question why no one was looking for shallows.

    I believe the box is just for convenience to carry him around since he has no physical form; for the same reason, it would be very difficult to hurt him. I don't even believe a Messiah could hurt or kill him.

    I was very happy to see this addition to the Kandric Universe posted here. I enjoyed reading the prologue again. The hopelessness of the situation is acute when even their greatest heroes have fallen and they seem abandoned by the gods who favored them.

    We finally learn Ogomo's backstory. The siblings must have heard of all the changes in Teshon City to want to return. They must have hit a reef. Someone wasn't watching for shallows. What bad timing for a confession of love.

    What a nice chapter! The boys deserved a nice interlude after all they've been through. Mama is quite a character. Hard life or not, a small slice of paradise might be worth it.

    Despite everything, being brought to this weird place against his will, Beckett has the sudden revelation he likes his freedom here and his companionship with Valrinda. He fears losing it. It's a pivotal point. I don't believe he needs to worry. There was the odd comment from Parallax about Beckett not being exactly human. Now why is Valrinda underground and why is the passage being guarded by a big ugly? How will they get below?

    Today you most often see magnetic key cards in hotels because they can be easily set to deny access after checkout time and there is little worry about lost keys. Other terms for a pass key are master key or skeleton key. Back when there were five and dime stores, I remember they sold a set of four warded skeleton keys to open most interior doors in houses. Those locks had keyhole you could look through into the room. The emoji for a key is typically a warded lock key.

    Essentially, he is like a new born pup or cub and has to learn from scratch or example just as they do. Humans mark their territory too, just not the same way.

    Some folks don't need help and you don't necessarily need to be big either. Mean and crazy goes a long way. The dangerous prison escapee in PA is only 5ft and 120lbs, but he's killed two people.

    Lucas is sending some signals, particularly with repeating he thinks Jubal is handsome. The comment about Lucas and Reid having different ideas raises questions too. What is it about Jubal's neck that he feels uncomfortable with Lucas noticing? What happened to it?
