    Jubal has been through a lot in such a short period of time. It's easy to imagine an encounter with the law going way differently. Luckily Lycas knows Reid well and the men they shot were known outlaws with bounties on their heads. Now we know more about the circumstances around Jubal's ambush, it makes perfect sense why he was left with a horse and pistol.
