Highway names, like fame, can be fleeting. A former governor was traveling to our town with some friends. Before they arrived, he told them to pay attention to the highway signage and they'd see how highly thought of he was here. They did. The highway built during his tenure is now named to honor an actor.

A stall at the inn with hay for a bed. How luxurious, not. Humans truly do not rate highly here.

Well, those .36 rounds were only 90gr compared to a .44 or .45 which were 240 or 250. Yeah the small bullets can kill, but it's the difference between punching a pinky finger sized hole and a thumb sized one.

Even sharpshooter accuracy sometimes wasn't enough. Hickok shot a man through the heart and he was able to turn and run back inside a building. Another took shots from both his pistols and was still able to shoot back.

The instructions from Colt were to load all six and then put the hammer in the safety notch. They continued this recommendation even after many accidental discharges. The load five was a practical thing delivered by word of mouth.

Unfortunately, hurling them away wouldn't be sufficient to do away with Ronging and Lonklam. Of all the bio-shifts we've seen, Junta and Thech are the most unique. Even as mere children, their power is strong. -

Yes, the same quick load method as a musket.

None of the guns we've talked about were quick to reload. Even the Peacemaker was tedious. It's why gunfighters and cavalrymen often carried more than one gun.

I will correct you on one point. Jubal's gun would be cap and ball in this time period. The cartridge conversion, and there were precious few of them, didn't occur until 1873. Even men like Hickok and Wild Bill Cody were still loading cap and ball long after then.

If you've watched those old movies where the good guys were chasing the bad guys on horseback, you may recall they were shooting at their backs. And that was the way it really was. I remember a deputy telling me about a car chase he and his partner were on which happened in the late '60's. The sheriff called on the radio and asked if they were shooting at it. They were, but claimed the perp's car was backfiring. One of the shots creased the bottom of the gas tank and he ran out of gas and was caught.

It took him a long time to save that money for his land too. My point was the SAA was far from the only pistol out there. Everyone didn't have one. The reason I used gold as the exchange is the same Double Eagle will still buy you a fine pistol today.

Maybe from exposing generations of kids to institutional showers. Then a lot of these bathtubless homeowners will put in a hot tub. I like taking long, luxuriant baths. -
The Walker's were very heavy, almost twice the weight of the 1851's. The 1851 was chambered for the .36 caliber with ballistics similar to the modern .380. The recoil would be very light in a large pistol. Hickok carried twin 1851's and fired out all the rounds daily and reloaded to avoid the danger of misfires. Colt only made 1,100 Walkers, but 273,000 Colt Navys. In the movies, you can see them being used by The Man with No Name and The Outlaw Josey Wales. There was a lot of fast gunwork in those.

Wild Bill Hickok carried 1851 Navy cap and ball revolvers and a pair of 1851's were the last pistols made for Samuel Colt.

Maybe. Keep in mind a Colt SAA would cost a $20 gold piece back in the day, a hefty sum for a guy like Jubal. There were a lot of other pistols used, from older Colt models, Smith & Wessons, and Remingtons.
