It really has little to do with what they want and more to do with what Amber's parents are willing to do. For Blake to be enrolled in school, some type of legal guardianship had to be done. This provides a framework to go after them, but you have to start the process. The money for care is owed to the guardian, not the minor.

Jamie's secret is more or less now an open one. No one has taken any offense to his subterfuge, which is almost a miracle by itself. If Urvan is Leemus, the faux beggar is likely the master he trained under. Our little band are up against two powerful master mages rather than one.

There are several possible avenues here. Jamie could confess. Snave may say Jamie was posing as Thorvil with the Master's blessing, which is entirely possible. Then again, no one is going to believe a mere apprentice just transported this whole crowd into a place which must have its own magic wards.

Jamie hasn't been very circumspect. They've also said much in front of Dorf. And Snave made a comment about his brother. Snave may pull things out. He's been participating in the deception all along. Besides, Jamie just pulled off a feat no one has ever done.

I don't understand why Blake's parents aren't being hit for child support. Since they are so image sensitive, they'd be easy to push.

And some wonder why folks carry EDC gadgets. At least he unloaded a useless item, though we don't know the value if these azure crescents yet. Azure crescents sound like a kind of dessert roll. I wonder if Beckett haggled with the gnome too. None of the inhabitants here seem to have high opinions of humans, but who can blame them?

So Snave is the Master's brother, saved from death by magic. Jamie's curious nature has led to finding a way for Snave to speak. It is a great gift for both Snave and the Master. We also find out Jamie and Gavin are viewed by their master more as beloved sons than just apprentices.

No, it just sounds worse. This hurts more and for much longer. All Bobbitt had were stitches to heal from the reattachment, not skin grafts for months. Plus burn injuries are prone to infections and this guy had those too.
