    All the preparation Devin did with Mac is making the process much easier. In many shifter stories the transition is quite painful as the bones and flesh alter shape. I'm glad Mac isn't experiencing that. Dude. lol

    Jubal has been through a lot in such a short period of time. It's easy to imagine an encounter with the law going way differently. Luckily Lycas knows Reid well and the men they shot were known outlaws with bounties on their heads. Now we know more about the circumstances around Jubal's ambush, it makes perfect sense why he was left with a horse and pistol.

Be careful what you wish for lest your wishes come forth with unbidden consequences. I was uneasy about this gathering and fear this is only the beginning of the bloodshed. As intended, it has soured the King's ascension.
