I drive an eleven year old Chrysler Concorde. It's not exactly a young man's car , but it is the best car I have ever owned. I've had no significant problems in 118,000 miles (much lower mileage than it would have if I hadn't retired six years ago). My point is Chrysler makes good cars...better than their reputation. You may find some of the Dodge body styles more appealing. I just hope the company survives, both for the sake of the good cars and for the jobs that are at stake.
My wife drives a sixteen year old Dodge Grand Caravan. We did replace the transmission about six years ago. She loves her van.
What do you do if you are being silent and a really cute guy speaks to you? Do you ignore your vow of silence and engage him in conversation or do you give him the silent treatment? Just curious.
Great chapter, Cliff, beginning with the opening scene which proved to be something other than it seemed at first.
As for the question of a cliffhanger, I submit the following into evidence:
You are certainly wrong about that. Differing opinions, welcome or not, are a mainstay at GA. If you encounter something rude, just consider it a differing opinion.
The Mustard Jar is a good site. All the stories there are by Roynx, a GA Member. My favorite is Brittle as a Bird followed by its sequel, A Bridge to Yesterday.
I'm beginning to wonder if anyone will make it. Horst said:
I assume the surprise package is a nuclear explosion using the Iranians own weapon against them. There was discussion in the bunker about rigging a bomb:
As a former artillery officer, I can assure you that a single 105mm howitzer round has enough punch to immobilize a C-130. An airburst above the plane could kill everyone on board.
I use Microsoft Word to beta/zeta read stories for Kit. I believe he uses whatever is the standard word processor for Apple computers. I have had no compatibility issues and do not believe he has had any.
My wife uses both Microsoft Word and the Open Office word processor interchangeably on any one document with no hitches. I think there is a lot of compatibility among word processors.
Another great chapter, Jack. Lots of action...Thad wades into his new job and Gordy saves Andy's hide.
I'm ready for the next chapter now...hint, hint.
