    Kevin reveals to us what he really wants and what he’s never really had: a man who wants him for who he is, as he is, and without having to hide it all. It’s painful, all the hiding you detail in this chapter. There is layer upon layer of costume and mask and paint, hiding Kevin as he really is. And that hiding means he lives with things blowing up and crashing down, time after time. Kissing Aaron in front of Duncan – will there be another shattering? And who will pick up his pieces again? Not Carver, and probably not Aaron, either. You are weaving a melancholy tale, but one which keeps calling out to me. I hope you will have more for us soon.

    This is such a hard piece to read. You write convincingly. Those friends ought to have listened rather than blathered, but then, blather can sometimes cover over the pain. Well done.

    These poems move me. Traitorous Mind made me think of the masks we wear in order to hide. You write about this only too well. Shards really got to me - maybe it was all those images of brokenness, and the sounds I hear with them. I’m grateful you shared these. Thank you.

    I will forgive you the cliffhanger this once. Perhaps. In the meantime, the scene at the hospital getting introduced to Fabricio was fantastic. Also loved seeing some of Oz’s work in Brooklyn. And Rogo’s is up for sale? So much happened there. Can’t imagjne who might buy it... and what it might get renamed. (You could make book on that, if you like). But back to that cliffhanger... any chance on a little advance news? Like in less than an hour, maybe?

    @Mikiesboy deserves my thanks for outlining the basics of the Pantoum. @AC Benus is posting a series of poetry prompts which walks an interested participant through a number of different forms. I’d urge you to try those prompts; they really help. Writing led me to reading poetry again, but with a different eye. Thanks very much for reading these, and for your kind comments. I’m very grateful.
