I like very much that you began and ended in poetry. In some ways their day was a lovely poem, as you described. Aiden and Jenn and Jordan's mom are right to be happy at Jordan and Noah returning to one another. Their joy in one another radiates from every line you wrote, and these supporting characters must feel it too. Thanks for letting us see this.

    Unreal and Real

Parker Owens commented on Thorn Wilde's story chapter in Unreal and Real

This poem opens a question as broad and deep as the ocean which separates us. How real are we to one another? How can we fight the brain’s natural urge to categorize and neatly order everything for its own convenience? Wonderful.

Great word for today. Maybe you saw the movie The Prestige? It involved professional magicians and conjurers.

    Beware Gremlins

Parker Owens commented on northie's blog entry in Reflections

I love the idea of a Gremlin Bell. But @northie, I’m so sorry for the series of unhappy breakdowns you’ve had to face.

You’re so right. Patience, though necessary, is very difficult. Yet I admire you for the patience you have displayed. You know that I send you hugs; may you feel them and help you sustain your efforts.

    Chapter 6

Parker Owens commented on Aditus's story chapter in Chapter 6

The pace quickens, and so much is pinging around the sensory ether. But most important is Nico’s success in drawing himself and the king together. And what a priceless way to exit dinner! Excellent.

    What is Normal

Parker Owens commented on WolfM's story chapter in What is Normal

This is a great poem, especially for those of us who are eccentric, unusual, or just plain unexpected. Normal. Such a mathematical word, and one which by definition cannot cover every person or occurrence. We all need just enough conventionality for our own purposes. Thank you for saying far more gracefully than I ever could.

I’m sold on this one. Lyrical and compelling.

This math nerd celebrates your spreadsheet and statistics. There is power in number and pattern. This particular math nerd sends you hope and hugs.

The first poem’s reference to a Cold War made a lot of sense to me. About your second poem: You are no slug. I know a lot about slugs. Yet what you wrote struck a chord with me. You are who you are, and you are loved for that.

What a wonderful chapter. You make the last part believable by building up the experience of the their time back together. They enjoy each other’s company and conversation. Noah, ever reticent, can’t interrupt the good times long enough to tell Jordan his own news until the last moment. You brought in Jordan’s mom as a kind of moderating character, and that came off excellently. You did very well to keep us hanging for so long - and thank you for not making us wait for another chapter. Great work!

    GMA VIII

Parker Owens commented on Carlos Hazday's story chapter in GMA VIII

Wished I could have seen that segment of the show. But then, you brought it to us in vivid color and sound. Once again, I can see and hear each person, each character. And in today’s increasingly insane political climate, we need voices like these speaking to the world. Thanks especially for mentioning the Trevor Project, which is near to my heart. Great chapter!

Good morning! Squirrels chasing each other over the snow outside my window. Ohhhhh, it’s getting to be that season, which means spring is inching ever closer...
