Thank you for such generous and kind remarks. More importantly, I am grateful that you read the story and enjoyed it. Characters who change are often the most interesting ones, I think. I will miss Graham and Scott and all the rest of the characters, too. Thanks again.

No, Def, thank you for reading what was a difficult story. Scott was such a fascinating and challenging character to write and conceive. But characters who really change over the course of a story are the most interesting, IMO. Graham in his simple, subtle way, helped with that change just as Scott was ready for it, as an alert reader noted at the time. I appreciate your patience in staying with the tale, and in your very kind comments.

The sun was high overhead toward the end of a near perfect morning. The seas were calm, the skies seemed at their deepest blue, and the scene on the water looked placid. April 22 is my favorite of this collection, especially the last stanza. It reminds me of how much watching movies is something to be done together, laughter, excitement, popcorn, handholding and all. Beautiful!

Joel is certainly kissable, and Peter is making Joel his friend. Nice to see Joel making a friend of Sam, too. But I do wonder what's going to happen down at the surf beach...very lovely chapter.

This is a moment to be treasured, a reconnection to Fendral. It is not happening at all as I imagined it might, but then, you have very neatly made it happen in a seamlessly plausible way. And now it remains to be seen if the healing can be fully accomplished, and if the malaise can be truly beaten back. Applause from this corner!

You read me so well. Your comments on the sonnets make blush, and I will treasure them. There were prompts this week to encourage reflection and introspection, and melancholy came bubbling to the surface. I thank you for reading these with a keen eye - not once, but twice! I am very grateful.

This is a wonderful April shower of poetry. I thought the Haiku was arresting and quite powerful. 'I'm Sorry' resonated with me as being true to my experience, but 'More Words' was a masterpiece of image and implication. Bravo! -

Mostly, April 13 was meant to have images and ideas which overlapped...martinis at a bar, but there is such a thing as an oyster bar...oranges as in juice bar, overlaps with the old nursery rhyme...and so on. If it works at becoming absurd while making a teensy bit of sense, then I hope to have followed the prompt correctly. Thanks so much for reading my little scribbles... -
I liked doing Apr 22 as it reminded me more and more of an old old program called 'This I Believe.' My voice seemed to get stronger as I wrote it. Thanks a lot for reading these, and for your thoughts. Xo^2. P
