Thank you, BA. Being out and being in his new environment will indeed make Adam more confident. I agree - I did rather loss over the difficulties of both taking off and putting on skinny jeans. Taking off is much more fun though if you have someone to do it for you......

Thanks, Chris. I believe what is developing between Adam and Troy is much more than sex, although both definitely enjoy that part! As for the nightmare, I hope he will not have too many.

Troy laughed out loud when I said about going to buy some skinny jeans. He ruffled my hair and leaned over to kiss me on the cheek, telling me that he loved me as he did so. I thought he was going to come and lie on the bed alongside me, but instead he just said, “We can be together now whenever we want Adam. You ain’t ever going back to that place, or if you do it’ll be over my dead body. If you’re coming to school in the morning though, you’d best get some sleep – it’s been quite a day.”

That was my thought, Tim, when I read that part. Just what effect did being sent to the seminary boarding school have on Jamie? Didn't realise there would be more to the story, but if there is I very much look forward to reading it.

Indeed they should, Lisa. I suspect birth giver is quite probably approving of her husband's actions, hard as that may be to accept, because she shares his beliefs.

Thanks, appreciate the comment and to know you enjoyed the chapter. I think Adam had grown used to doing as his Pa demanded and initially couldn't see any alternative but to accept his beatings.

Very touching very romantic and well worth the wait. Must confess that use for carrots had never crossed my mind - are they going to work up to parsnips next? -
Thanks for the comments Glennish. Revenge on Mike Daubney would be a possibility I guess, but as his actions actually ended with Adam moving in with the Connellys, perhaps Adam and Troy see that as turning out for the best? Had things continued as they were the development of their relationship would have been difficult.

Hi Canuk. If you see my response to Geron's comments you will know why the story was written in this way. I do fear that some poor kids may suffer in this way in terms of 'beating out the devil', 'sparing the rod' and other such sayings.

Hi CG. I agree it'll be a few days before he is up to wearing them. You raise an interesting point on the prison retribution aspect. I have no idea of the answer, but I suspect beating a kid wouldn't be looked on in the same way as molestation and quite possibly the kid being gay could justify that to some inmates.

I'd read a couple of stories lately in which religious parents had initially rejected their son when they found out he was gay only to 'miraculously' change their view within a very short space of time. I wanted to out forward an alternative, and admittedly much less pleasant, response. Am sure Adam going to enjoy wearing his skinnies - especially in front of Troy.
