    Chapter 30

As I said before, everyone needs to step back and THINK! Right now friendship and support is much more important than who you fool around with. Time will move on and soon (They are HS Juniors) they will move on to college or the work force. In either case the group will splinter and most likely some will move away permanently and/or meet new people. This is just how life works. I wish I would have had a group of friends in high school that I could have been honest with. It would have made moving on in life much easier!

    Chapter 29

The world of teenage hormones. Right now I think everyone needs to take a step back and relearn how to be just friends. The true personal relationships will follow naturally now that all the players know which teem they play for. There may be more players in the wings that may show now that the gay group has grown and many others seem to be Ok or at least fairly silent about the subject. As I said before, I am on teem Jack and Jimmy as they have been close friends for a long time. With that said, hopefully, the others will find friends and more without major upset in the group. Some will work and some will not, just like straight couples in high school, but life will go on without so much secrecy and turmoil...

    Chapter 25

My first comment on this story. I am really liking this story and just had to comment on this chapter. I felt much earlier in the story that Jimmy was complaining to much!!!! I am really glad that he has now been honest with Jack about himself. It may be a rough road for him to really be honest with everyone else in his life. We know nothing about Jimmys parents or really any other people that are important to him. Now I really lean toward relationships that grow out of friendships so even liking the Jeff angle I hope that someone else toots Jeffs horn (or something else ) so Jack and Jimmy can explore the next stage of their friendship without anyone else loosing out. Yep, I am a hopeless.....
  4. I am cautiously happy for both Robbie and Nathan. Connor is most likely going to be a rough split. I see him trying to play the hurt boyfriend to play on Robbies soft side. I hope Robbie holds the line and ends his misery. Time will tell... I also think there is much more to the story involving the drugs and the beating Nathan got. I hope Alex was really out of the area and uninvolved in the event.

    Chapter 35

This was a great story with a happy ending. I do not comment very much, but I do leave reactions for every chapter. I look forward to the next story. I tend to wait for a story to be completed and then binge read the story. You have a talent for creating a very complex story with several plot points and then bringing everything together for a wonderful ending. It will be interesting to see where the next story goes beyond just TJ and JC's marriage... With Beau and Grayson now owning 25% of Grant Industries, might there be a story line laying in wait for intrigue and investigation into strange happenings??? There, I made a open ended suggestion............. @AquariusGuy You are a talented story teller and I look forward to reading your next adventure with TJ and JC and the rest of the cast. Keep up the great writing!!!
  6. I agree, this will be a sad day. I/We have read our way into the life of "The Cockney Canuck". It will be a big adjustment to know his life is moving on without us 😢. @Dodger, you have given us a story that has made us laugh, cry, smile and many other things. When you finish this story, take a break and enjoy what you have done for all of us. We appreciate it very much !! I will keep an eye open for your future works. But please, teach Don a life lesson and leave him bleeding!!!
  7. This is a great story with several unknown possibilities. I also think that making Havars city/territory is a bad idea. We know Havar had his own agenda and it does not include peaceful relations with other races and earth in general. I am sure Chris could swat Havar like a fly, but what kind of turmoil would it cause having the a ruling family member attacking another family member even if it is a lowlife trouble maker like Havar? Monarchies are very touchy governments. Chris will have to tread lightly while making it very clear that Havars genocidal thoughts will not be tolerated. Easy to say, but much harder to do...... Keep up the great writing!!!
  8. I hate cliffhangers!!! But I still love this story. Dons racist traits did not surprise me at all. Don is a poster child for the "white is right" crowd. I hope Robbie can cheer up Nathan and possibly get back together with him. Nathan desperately needs a friend that truly cares about his well being. Ginny being a source for drugs was obvious and Nathan being susceptible to a drug induced happy is also easy to see. What Nathan needs now is simple support from a friend. Conner is a self serving schmuck. It has been long enough for him to show some respect for Robbie. It is now time to call it over and move on. I hope someone gives Daniel a heads up about his dads racist views before he gets broadsided by Don. As others have said... Next chapter soon???? Keep up the story telling. You do it very well!!!
  9. Great chapter. Chris only needs a PR team to keep him aware pf his own charm and point him in the right direction. He definitely needs to gain self awareness to control his powers. For King Ethnar to be concerned actually shows just how much damage Chris could inflict if he lost his composure. I do not think we really want to see that directed towards a friendly sparing partner ....

    TA-Epilogue

I am so pissed I'm ecstatic!! OK, now that is done... I am a HEA reader. I fully expected Dorian to survive, but you did an outstanding job hiding it until the very very end!! I do feel sorry for Dorians family, but the wolf culture makes loss a part of life in an even bigger way than it is for us humans. They will mourn and move on, but I will hold out hope that they can be surprised at a later time after the McKinneys and supporters are worm food!! Your talent as a story teller is great and I will await your next offering.

    Epilogue

This was a good story with a good ending. I agree, Sean needs to find his Mr. Right! Keep writing Dave!!!

    Snow

The plot thickens. Isn't it amazing how GOOD private security groups have resources that rival many government agencies. It helps when many of them include people recruited from said agencies.....

    The aftermath

The shooter is now history, but the question is who contracted him? Professional hit-men do not work for fun...in most cases. I like the dog idea. I grew up with large dogs, all German shepherds. They are very loyal and extremely protective. Smaller dogs are very good for companions. I am sure both Sadie and Max have found good homes! Now back to the action....

    The Will

As your reply to Gary implys, things may be looking up, but the higher you get the farther the fall. I don't think you are planning a fall, but a few stumbles seem likely

    July 4th

This is my first read of your story and I am liking it so far. I really like Sean. He seems like a neat person and totally safe for younger people to be with. Mom is also a good soul, but dropping that bombshell so casually might give Dean the heebee jeebees for a while. I think there is more afoot with the will and see many possibilities, not all good, with being included in the will....

    Chapter 7

Geron you have done it again! This story definitely ranks very high in the Charlie Boone series. The details you have explored make this a very special story. Your craft at making us think and learn in new ways is wonderful. Telling a story within a story about thinking like a bird to be able to understand things differently is classic thinking outside the box! You have a special gift for writing and all of us benefit from your gift. Keep writing and we will keep reading!!! Onward to Halloween my friend......

    Chapter 1

This is a great start to a new adventure. It is a bit troubling that it is starting with basically a cry for help as the line goes dead. I know it will work out good in the end, but @Geron Kees will make us worry for a while.
  18. I am unsure who is responsible for what, but I really think Don is in the mix somewhere. It also would not be to big a reach for Connor to be involved with Nathans beating. I hope I am wrong about Connor, but would not be shocked. I really want Sue to be shown exactly how bad Don really is. Would it not be perfect if Jo caught Don at his worst with both audio and video to prove how he was in the middle of lots of the bad happenings. Don being a caged rat would be great!!
  19. This sounds like a treat that would be outstanding with a Rome apple. The Rome has a very white flesh and a dark red skin. When baked the red skin color migrates into the white apple and is beautiful when sliced and served. You get both a very appealing visual and outstanding flavor!!! @Talo Segura I have never tried peanut butter, but it sounds very good and is on my list of things to try this fall when the fruit is ripe and fresh.
  20. @Reader1810 I think a combination of Pink Lady and Fuji would be a good start. The Pink Lady has a fairly hi acid level that makes it have a slightly tart but pleasant flavor. The Fuji is higher sugar and a sweeter but mild flavor. The combination of the two will tend to give you a sweeter version of the Pink Lady flavor. The best thing about this is that you can experiment without fear. Any combination of apples will give a unique flavor and the worst thing is it may be a little to tart which you can cure with a little sweetener of your choice. I like the yellow packaged artificial sweetener. You can cook with it and it is still sweet. I know artificial sweeteners very well as I am a type 1 diabetic and have been since 1981 and I still love my fruit treats. I learned from my mother and am still holding the torch for fruit treats. Nothing beats a fresh peach cobbler made from O'Henery and Hale peaches. Ok, now I am drooling..... One other thing is to use whatever variety of fruits you have available. The specific varieties I mention are not very available in stores. In our orchards we have an extremely large number of varieties we sell at our roadside fruit stand. We have over 400 different apple varieties and if you add all the fruits from early cherries to late apples I would estimate that we grow well over 800 different tree fruit varieties. This gives me an almost unlimited choice of fruit. I do tend to lean towards the older varieties mainly because I find the flavors to be better. The newer market varieties have been designed to be long storing while keeping their firmness and appearance. Unfortunately the fruit flavor takes second place in many cases. For example, the Spitzenburg I mentioned in my first post is believed to have come from Europe, probably Holland area. It is a very old variety dating easily to the early 1400's and most likely much earlier. This apple has a very distinct flavor, but suffers from a low pressure structure (soft at best and mush if overripe) and it also has a very hi attraction level to the Coddling moth which is the source if apple worms. This makes the apple unjustifiably difficult to produce on a commercial level. Poor storage potential and high pest cullage makes it a NO GO commercially. OK, I have rambled on about fruit and honestly I have no special recipes to offer. All I can say is a scratch crust, a few apples of choice, a large bit of butter, cinnamon and sweetener to taste. Into a 325 F oven for about 45 minutes. Cool, cut add Ice cream of choice, serve and go nuts
  21. Hi All, This is just a tip that I thought you may like. It came to mind when I read @droughtquake question about what apple variety to use. I am part of a family of commercial orchardists that have been growing tree fruits, including apples, for 112 years. Yep, over a century. Now for the tip about using apples directly from my 92 year old father... When using apples for cooking and especially baking, always use a variety of apply varieties. The reason for this is many fold, but these are the main ones. Every apple variety has specific traits that include sweetness, acidity (tang or sharpness), aromatics, density and structure. By using a selection of apples you will get a more varied flavor profile along with a varying texture. By experimenting with what is available you can create much more pleasing flavors. For example, think of apple pies. What makes an apple pie jump out to your tastes is when it is sweet, tart, mushy (like apple sauce) and still has some firm bits in the filling all at the same time. This can be done just by choosing the right apples. If done with thought you need very little added sweetener or thickeners. To give it a simple try, get 3 or 4 different apples, at least one tart one like a Granny Smith. Remove the peel and core then dice the apples. Simmer them with a little water to make apple sauce. Stir the sauce and allow to cool. Taste what you made and decide for yourself if it is better than a single variety taste. I am betting it is!! If you want a real test, make more sauces with only one variety each, then you can compare side by side!! My favorite grouping for pie is: Spitzenburg, Winter Banana, Granny Smith and Rome. Unfortunately, three of those varieties will be almost impossible to find in a store because the fruit industry is driven by fruit that keeps longest in storage or is patented by individual growing / packing groups. Anyway, I thought some here might be interested in this tip .

    Epilogue

This was a great story. The ending was short but sweet 😀. Jeff you always spin a good story with great characters and unexpected twists and turns. I still see this as a great start to another series of you choose to follow these characters further into their lives. Stay safe and stay well!! I will be watching for your next adventure. 🤗

    Visions 1

It is called a "scroll bar" and I did the exact same thing! Oh well, a short wait for the next chapter (I hope)... This story is very addicting and waiting makes it even more enjoyable when new chapters post I see @Dathi beat me to the name by several hours. That is what I get for opening the chapter and then waiting till later to actually read it.....

    Divine Sin

This is a great story with many twists and turns. It took me a while, but I am now hooked and keep reading it even when I really should be doing other things... Next chapter awaits!!
  25. Great start with very interesting possibilities. I look forward to following N'than as he travels through the pages to come! Keep writing Tim so we can !!
