I have read theis story on another site and therefore know the direction it takes. With this in mind I still love the story and will happily take the trip with you again. It is a wonderful tale of finding ones tue self and love of another. Great work Hudson. I look forward to reliving your story again. Keep it coming.

Very well written and composed story. I like how the story lines were told and wraped up and details presented. The final line says what all want in a time of hardship. Just bring them (sons AND daughters) home. Excellent work James.

The Battle of Eagle Rock
wenmale64 commented on JamesSavik's story chapter in The Battle of Eagle Rock
I agree with Stephen. That describes a fitting end to a nasty player. I also hope the boys understand that it was them or us. It will still be hard for them when they settle down and think on it. I especially think the Farmer twins will have a rough go of it as they seem to come from a bit of a free spirit home. Peace and love are wonderful things, but evil exists in our world and has to be dealt with. It is just unfortunate that these young boys/men had to face that so early in life. GREAT story!!! -
Si vis pacem, para bellum

Wow... That school yard bully fight was intence. The way you presented Tom as taking it simply as the new kid was point on. The final fight and Toms comment to the idiot administrator was outstanding and correct. He HAD to stop it!!! Cudos and beyond to his father also, no kid should have to bear that kind of abuse for any reason. Bullys need to be beat down, period. This story and your writing style are captivating, griping and a bit spooky...in a good way. I hope we never have to experience what the boys are experiencing, but my pesimistic side keeps me alert and ready....I think. Great job. -
I agree with the above completely. Why can't people just life be life for all? Oh Well. At least Matt and Parker have it figured out. Great work, looking forward to the new years meetup with the family.

This story and especially this chapter are simply love on parer (OK a display unless I print it). The emotions this story draws to the surface are incredable. You have created a dynamic that most of us either want or have sought for ourselves. Outstanding writing and presentation. Keep up the great work.

Great start. You have me hooked.

James, I just found your shorts and found this one to be amazing. In 1980 I was 16 when St.Helens blew her top. My hometown in about 100 miles north and we were spared most of the dammage except for the ash. Our farm equipment was dammaged as the ash was so abrasive to the engines. I remember being outside when the mountain blew and feeling and hearing the rumble. My father was with me and he simply said she blew, lets get your mom and get inside. Thats what we did and watched the news on TV seeing the total devistation as the news videos were aired. Thirty seven years later, the mountain still looks funny missing a big piece, but things have recovered and are gteen forests again. Your closing discription of the effects are chillingly accurate from what I remember being reported in my State. Excelent writing and a fabulous picture.

Oooh, and the things his husband could do with the crown jewels................................... Love your work. Please keep it going .

Wonderful story with so much subtle detail. I love the relationships growing, especially when remembering the time setting. I am a bit younger, but I feel the draw of relationsips I was never able to have around 1980. Things were so much different and almost completely unaccepting. I to am from a farming community in the northwest and understand the isolation. To be able to read a story of acceptance and the conquest of fears brings so many memories and emotions to the surface. I often have to pause and reflect on how things MIGHT have been.... Thank You for your wonderful work and please tell us more of the way it could have been.

Thank You for sharing your story. The love and anguish is clear. Remember the cherished times so that they can ease the pain. Plant a rose and remember....... Rob

Chapter 67 Crying for Robbie
wenmale64 commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 67 Crying for Robbie
This was a wonderful chapter. WELL DONE! It is very nice to see Nicola support Robbie and Nathan and to really jump into the fray at school. It is unfortunate that they cannot prove who/what happened and deal with it properly. It looks good for Robbie's recovery even with the short term memory loss. I am a stickler for consistency... Robbie has been the speaker in first person throughout the story. With this in mind, since Robbie has already related the happenings before this incident to us, the reader, he will surely regain the lost memories as he recovers. It may be a slow process, but Nathan and his family will help him through it. Now, do Don, Sue, Daniel and to a lesser point Amy, know what Nathan and Robbie really are to each other? It would seem that they would have to be very dumb not to have a very good idea. Hopefully they know and will talk about it and simply show love and accept the truth and allow Robbie to be himself. This may be a bit of optimist in me peeking out, but I am hopeful. I can't wait for more chapters to see how this all plays out. Please keep telling the story, we all want to know how it plays......... I also like the new banner. It has class . -
Online Friends Are Family Too
wenmale64 commented on JayT's blog entry in Randomnicity (aka Jay's thoughts)
For the Nth time... Thank You Jay for saying what many of us feel. I also do not have many friends in the real world. I have only 2 people that know I am gay. I find much comfort and solace in the online friends I have here. I am relatively new here, but was welcomed the very first day by Ricky and Graeme and have PMed and played the games and read the stories AND made several online friends here. It is VERY nice to have a family that accepts us as we are with our faults and issues. The stories help us relax and find the peace many of us do not have in the world around us. GA is a family and we can be as close or as distant as we are comftorable with. Online friends are as real and needed as real world friends are. CHEERS for our online friends and family !!!!!!!! -
Yea and I think the narrator is a bit............................Dodgy . I loved the chapter as a composition... I hated the chapter because of what is happening to Robbie. It is both sad and happy that Robbie came out to Nicola. Sad because it was kinda an outing, as he was not in his right mind. Happy because it is now out and Nicola seemed to be fine with it. I do feel sorry for whoever it was that pushed Robbie when Nicola finds them. They may wish it was them in the coma. Nathan is absolutely wonderful. It is painful to see him suffering while his boyfriend is in such dire medical condition. As JayT said, Robbie will come back to us as it is him telling the story. I just hope it is soon and with no perminant issues.

That sounds painful

No fair Drew. I like your comments and you know I could never poke you with the pitchfork and Gary is safe, I just hone while dreaming of the return. I will admit, I have not started Morningstar, as I am poor person to wait. With that in mind, I am holding off until it is complete....I think .

I have no Finnish bullets, but I have honed the tines on the pitchfork to hypodermic sharpness, one slow stroke at a time . I am painfully waiting for the return of COTT with all the others.

Another GREAT chapter. Loved Rubio getting an earfull for his hipocritical views. Ritchie has flowed into the family mould very well. The proposal by Ty at the end is wonderful AND on the 'kissing cam' for everyone to see, Yea.....

This story is a tribute to love and careing for people in need and friends deserving of help. Will and Liam especially are truely wonderful human beings. If more were like them the world would be a much better place for all. Great story. I look forward to the next chapter. Keep up the wonderful work.

Chapter 65 The Longest Day
wenmale64 commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 65 The Longest Day
Great chapter with a rough ending. It is great that Rory is being a true friend and working on understanding better. Daniel is a bit of a concern. I think the issue is simply that he feels left out, either as a friend of Nathans OR because he knows what is going on and has not been trusted with that information by either Robbie or Nathan. The stairwell thing is really concerning and I am sure Nicola is going to figure it out and leave scorched earth in her wake. Nicola is a bit self centered, but I think she is extreemly loyal and protective of her family and has accepted Robbie as family as she said in the stairwell.... He IS my brother..... Keep up the great story Dodger. You are really weaving a heartfelt tale. Great Work!!!! -
Great chapter in a wonderful story. I think JayT has it right...Jeremy has gained Jackson AND I think Ryder has gained Garet. Things could be worse.... I love this story. Keep up the excelent work.

Outstanding artistry and gripping plot. I really liked this story and the visions and feelings it brought to the real world. The descriptions of the darkness and unease brought on in the night were amazing. The emotion, friendship and careing between Coby and David is special. The fact that we are following the pair, after they have found each other, on a life adventure is simply tantalizing. I like storys where the characters find each other, but the stories of times after the find are even more gripping. Seeing love continue is outstanding. Geron, you have a talent for painting a landscape in our minds with words that cannot be expressed vividly enough. I welcome your worlds into my life each and every time. Great story my friend..... Rob
