Sometimes you strike a line that is just so profound. I think a lot of people feel this way and that's why they have their "chosen" families. Your husband is a very wise man and you're right, you are lucky to have him. Diabetes is an insidious disease that wreaks havoc on those that have it and those who are surrounded by it. My former partner has diabetes, so I know whereof I speak on the issue. Those swings in blood sugar can be unanticipated and sometimes make diabetics bat shit crazy. Yes, I said it because it's true. There's nothing like waking up to someone cleaning the house at 2 am and realizing that their sugar is off the charts and they're probably going DKA. Given that you're not prone to quickly anger, it probably was your sugar. But it could also have come from the fact that you've been in lockdown for so long. Either way, please take care of yourself and remember to eat regularly because low blood sugar is a lot more serious that just being "hangry" for you. I know that tim has the "eat sensibly" part covered.

You can get/give a decent cut using clippers with guards. Just start off long and then go shorter because you can't paste it back on. It's much safer than scissors if you don't know what you're doing or don't have any experience. Just remember that not everyone has a pretty head and that's usually not revealed until it's too late. 😉

Yuck, just yuck. I grew up in the Maryland suburbs and I so remember that plague from 1970. They were everywhere and it wasn't any fun being a safety patrol in elementary school and doing battle with them. The novelty wore off really quickly.
