If Raven and Desmond weren’t bonded before this, they’ll definitely be bonded after. Desmond will be safe from Julian’s wrath forever, as Raven and Desmond are building that kind of trust in a foxhole/firefight kind of trust; That’s pretty powerful stuff.
-
That’s who I was thinking of too, ‘cause it seems she’s specifically after Raven. If it is Magda, it just goes to show what a soulless bitch she is-Raven was her only friend, she set him up and now she wants payback?!?!
-
Good. That’s what happens when you deviate from an original plan. That cocky, stupid Emma will not enjoy her last moments of life....
-
I go back to what I previously said: Julian deserves many bad things to happen to him for who he was, even if he is less now; That I feel any sympathy, let alone anger on someone harming Julian, (through Raven or otherwise) is a testament to your ability to make me care for an otherwise unsympathetic character, as I surely wish bad happenings on those who have messed with Raven and his mate.
-
Getting caught pleasuring himself.... Julian realizing his mate was so true that he’d rather be fucked by him in absentia than messing with someone else.... The amazing reunion sex that came as a result.... This chapter was hot, in that respect. I’m concerned about Desmond, how peaceful can his life be now, jumping from dream to dream? I’m glad he’s there to help Raven but “He had no way of knowing that the next time he would talk to his mate would be ten days from now.” is ominous, at the very least. 😳

“The manipulator is not recognized by a dreamer,” the paragraph said. “It is connected to several factors, one of them being the fact that the manipulator is always invading the events of the past when the dreamer had no knowledge of them yet. However, as to every rule, there is an exception, i.e. the bond.” Duh!! Desmond saved your life?!?! And took damn good care of you, too, enough that you wouldn’t let Julian hurt him. There’s a bond there.

Chapter 70 Twelve in 1966
FanLit commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 70 Twelve in 1966
Naaaahhhh. -
“Ever since a month or so ago, guilt that would be gnawing at him every time after they came back from one of the ‘parties,’ started to diminish immensely. By now, it disappeared completely – Raven wouldn’t feel even a shadow of remorse. At first, it bothered him somewhat, but finally, he shrugged it off, figuring that the absence of pangs of conscience was a rather good thing, at least in his book.” 🤨 I’m not sure how I feel about this. Raven is the closest thing Julian has to a conscience, having Raven okay with this, even indulging in it with him, makes me fear how far Julian will go. The thought of more Sams walking around is disturbing to me. Is it possible that Desmond has the gift Julian hinted at but that Desmond has had the same face since he was young?

I saw where you were going with Markus, Christopher and Nate and I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about it....In your hands, I shouldn’t have worried. It fit. While neither Christopher or Nate were in a triad before their relationship with Tad, this was the dynamic that brought them together. Their shared love for and grief over losing Tad, as well as the genuine love they developed for each other kept them faithful but they were used to three, used to sharing. Markus reminded them of Tad while still being his own person. Markus, while owing his gratitude to Tad, got to fanboy and then be blown away (literally, lol) to find himself desired by not one but both of the men who helped to show him he was okay. It works and it works beautifully. This was an amazing, touching effort Wayne, you should be incredibly proud. Thank you.

Chapter 70 Twelve in 1966

As unique as our individual journeys are, they often include pain and growth, the memories of those shouldn’t be forgotten. As weird as it sound, Darling Gary, you make your pain beautiful. The scars are still there and they have shaped you, sometimes they pull to remind you they remain but I view your leeching in writing as proof that you’ve overcome it for the most part, that you won’t let them win. Some scars are on the outside, most are on the inside and as I’ve said to you before, this form of therapy benefits those who read it, as I dearly hope it benefits you. Whatever causes our pain, well it remains....”Nature remembers every injury but forgives by going on.” ~Terri Guillemets Who you are is natural, how you were made to feel about it is not....yours is one of many painful journeys to self acceptance but you made it....many don’t. I’m very thankful you made it. 🍻 -
Jarren’s is an interesting perspective-he doesn’t have a problem with gay people, he just doesn’t want to be one of them. To have known that about himself so early and developed such a self hate because of it will doom any chance for happiness in his life, period. I’m hoping he can come to acceptance of himself by himself and not for the sake of a relationship; Of course if a relationship will help him on the path to self love....it’s whatever works. I liked seeing Lex and Ian and Cassie mentioned, tho in this story I’m figuring Cassie might be more prominent, being Jarren’s sister-in-law and all. Nash’s demeanor hints at a painful backstory something more than his parents’ rejection (tho that’s enough); It seems he likes himself more than Jarren does; At least he’s comfortable acknowledging his sexuality.

My deepest condolences to you and your family on the loss of your nephew. The story is progressing at a nice pace. With all going on in your world, we will be here whenever you get the time to update.

One small step for man, one flutter of a butterfly wing, can change the world. Markus’ life was saved and he paid it forward; His counsel and expertise on a sensitive and timely topic will save lives elsewhere. The scene between he and Miranda was additionally life affirming. Even if it isn’t the beginning of a beautiful friendship (which I hope it is), they are forever bonded. Commitment is something to be respected in whatever form it takes, whether it is witnessed by many or a select few; Kent and Stanley's ceremony was beautiful and already showed a trust and respect that isn’t graced in every union; Those are vital to nurture love if it hopes to survive and Kent and Stanley show they have an abundance of it that can only grow. I shed tears reading this chapter, too but they were happy ones....to see Tad’s loved ones (and the ones he touched through love) adjusting and healing into their new normal.

What jrmcr said. 💔 ❤️ “Tad Coleman died loving and knowing that he was loved.” Isn't that what we all wish? It should be. Tad Coleman’s love saved lives, it doesn’t get more beautiful than that. The beauty of this chapter defies words. Thank you, Wayne.

Life is a cycle, with a beginning and an end. Love follows suit, whether romantic or for a friend. We want forever, when our heart is engaged. Thinking goodbye is with our last days. But seasons come and seasons go Season, reason or lifetime, relationships flow. Whether tended with affection or afflicted by rejection Memories remain, of laughter and pain Brought back by sight or scent Emotion flavored sentiment. Just a little ditty to let you know I really, really liked your worded flow. 🍻

Shane may not know that he’s driven his friend to the brink of suicide but at the very least he had to know he hurt him with his reaction, that should be enough to check him right there if he’s a true friend.

Teamwork makes the dream work. The efforts of Stanley and Nate for Tad were heartwarming, Markus’ situation is heart rendering. I grew up in the city so won’t say that I understand the small town mindset that breeds this type of ignorance, I will say small minded thinking is not limited to small towns. I sincerely hope more than Heather’s books reach Markus before next week; If someone reaches him before he completes his plan, he still needs a lot of help. That hug is for Markus. The only thing wrong with you Markus are the people close to you.

There is no blame you need to absolve yourself from. I can’t be affected if you’re not effective in moving your reader; You do and I consider that a very good thing.
-
Something kept on messing with my vision while I was reading this chapter, had to keep on blinking it away. While I delight in seeing the progress of Kent and Stanley’s relationship, Tad is breaking my heart. I feel like you’re going to make me cry a lot, Wayne. *Sigh*
-
The threesome works and may even prolong Tad’s life? (If being happy can delay anything) I cant say anything about Markus, smh....
-
'He needs me.' Chris closed his eyes, and his grip on the phone tightened.” Chris wasn’t just needed by Tad and I’m glad he recognized and acknowledged that. Miranda is going to be piiiiiisssssed, lol.

Tad is the glue that bonded Nate and Chris....it’s interesting that Chris let Nate even his beard up, something Tad always did for them when they were together; It’s even more interesting that Nate wanted to. Shallow Nate is forever gone and in his place is a loving mate and friend, as I doubt he was ever really a true friend to anyone before Chris.
