Volume 18 of the series kicks off a few months after the climax of Gap Year. All the Arbour strengths are already at play: strong characterisations, tortuously complex relationships, and compelling storylines. Another hit in the making.

Perfectly said. I feared we were in for a dry patch, understandably… So Will, Brad and JJ are the narrators this should make the sparks fly! Fasten your seatbelts ladies and gentlemen, we are expecting some heavy turbulence, an electric storm or two and high winds during the flight….

Unbelievable that Mark has got the ninth volume of Bridgemont already “en marcha” as the Spanish say. I’ve been following him for six or seven yrs but many loyal GA readers have been with him since 2011(?). I hope Mark realizes just how must pleasure he has brought so many readers. Thank you. 😊

This story is like a lemon syllabub, nice, light and airy but with the sharp touch of lemon and the kick from the booze mixed in. Good, fun story with insightful lines coming out of the contestants mouths. Roll on round three!

Well, well, well look who is back…… and so soon. With Northern Exposure and Gap Year both finished I feared we were in for a lean time after the year of plenty you gave us in 2023. I can’t wait to see how this develops. I’m intrigued about Caroline but I think she is a well-needed character of too much importance to not appear. So many thanks indeed, Mark. This installment and all it promises have made my day!

Another good chp, I am finding reading from the start helpful. At first ai didn’t feel comfortable with Otis as a character but I’m warming to him as he emerges from the cocoon into which he had escaped/been placed. @Laura S. Fox I’m really getting into this story now, thank you! ☺️ -

Totally agree with @akascrubber whose prose is way better than mine! Over sick leave and long Xmas travels I reread a large number of GA stories and as you say, Mark is up there with the very best. 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

A bullied teenager finds happiness but with a supernatural twist. A well thought out little gem, which very nicely written. Recommended.

I totally agree. I’ve waited a bit to get to read a few chps together NOT for lack of interest, the opposite in fact. Although I love some of the high drama series in GA, this story makes me relax and feel comfortable - if rather envious… gx

I note that I might get bitten and that my Chippendale chairs might get damaged…… Seriously, I’m with you 100%. For me after yrs in the Catholic Church and even studying ethics with the Jesuits in Rome, the only moral rule I have is the old “do as you would be done by” . If only the fanatics would leave off the OT and actually read the Gospels of love and forgiveness, for a start. I love your fiction and admire your views. Have a fruitful and creative 2024. We need writers like you!

Retire on 30 June and not give in to pressure to stay a day longer. keep firm and convince my partner that I am capable of controlling 2 mini dachshunds and keep taking them to obedience classes lest they train me. @weinerdog may have to give me advice…. Please. oh and lose the 5 kilos necessary to keep drs and specialists off my back. Ps I’ve gained a kilo this holiday season…
