LOL! I think the elves got frustrated and hit her over the back of the head so they could get in there and get to work. Pushy little creatures, even if they do know what they're doing Thanks for the wonderful story. I brought a smile to my face.
Hey, we didn't get to find out what Thomas got for Christmas from Eric! Eric was interrupted before he told Thomas, and it wasn't mentioned afterwards. I wanted to find out how much though Eric had put into the gift.
Having said that, it's a great story I really enjoyed it
“Josh?” Ruth took a half step forward towards the young man in his mid-twenties who was pushing a light-blue stroller through the mall. “Joshua Miller?”
The young man glanced over his shoulder, and his eyes widened. “Ruth Penny?”
“It’s Anderson now. I got married three years ago.”
“Congratulations, if a little late.” Joshua grinned as he gave her a hug. “I haven’t seen you in ages.”
The smile on Ruth’s face momentarily faded before coming back bigger than ever. “Over seven years. The last ti
Not really in the 'good news' category, but it's cute and brought a smile to my face:
Royal Mail helps British boy find out how much it would cost to send a letter to Mars
I'm looking forward to the new story. That last POV seems really interesting, and it's going to be intriguing which of the other characters they interact act with first.
I've just finished the first book in the series (at another site, sadly -- I didn't realise it was here, too, or I would've been leaving lots of reviews) and while I sometimes have trouble working out who is speaking, overall, I really enjoyed it. Good luck with the new story!
Not quite the way I thought it would happen, but I always knew that Taylan would become the stay-at-home Dad to look after Kit. One of the touching parts, though, was Mitchell becoming really vulnerable at the thought he might lose Kit. It really came over clearly how much that idea affected him. Well done!
A big jump ahead in time, but I think that's needed. We're seeing them enter the next phase of their relationship and while Mitchell is not dictating to Taylan, he's certainly still leading the way and asking Taylan to follow.
They're both obviously madly in love I waiting for Mitchell's reaction to finding out that Taylan has a job already, even if only as an interim measure.
One of the amazing things about this chapter was a discussion about what sexual activities they liked, and it sounded so natural and loving. A brilliant piece of writing!
Hmm...Taylan is currently without a job. That means he could stay home and be there for Kit. I think a few more things will have to happen before that occurs, but I can see it happening.
Taylan's showing more of his wisecracking self in this chapter. He's been a bit too timid in the last few. I do have to keep reminding myself that he's 32, though -- he comes over more as early twenties at times.
Mitchell is moving too fast. He's trying to make Taylan a second dad to Kit...after one day. He's impatient, but does he ever think that others may have their own opinions as to what makes a relationship, or how their relationship is progressing? Having said that, he's not back to being a creep; he's just pushy, which Taylan seems to like
Okay, I now declare Mitchell to be redeemed. He's no longer creepy -- he's just passionate and sometimes goes a little too far in the process, but he's also realised he wants more from Taylan than a physical relationship, and he's acting accordingly.
