I was really surprised when at the end you mentioned that Bailey can and does speak because I was under the impression the big scar was a reason why he couldn't interesting times ahead. In his own way Harlan is as uncommunicative as Bailey it is unlikely he would interact with Greg or Clay to find out about Bailey's issue. I have to believe there is a way to figure out a universal sign language regardless of the speaking language but apparently people 100 times smarter than I haven't been able to do so yet.

Obviously based on your synopsis there is going to be something between Harlan and Bailey but I also get the feeling Bailey and Rayne will have some kind of an unlikely friendship. I'm not an experienced traveler but the part about how costly San Francisco is Get Bailey is looking for work but what's wrong with being in a nearby medium sized city and staying in a Motel 6? Am I wrong or what?

I have read Ash and Ember and Guarded and I came into this story thinking it will be a tall order to write another story as good as those but damn if you didn't do just that. I will move on the A Silent Song but first I will go to some of your one chapter stories they sound interesting.Thank you for sharing your gift

I suspect Corbin in the future will make sure The Raven Project will have funding.I do wonder if putting a portion of the $100,000 in a 5 years interest bearing investment would be feasible. A cashier at the Grocery store I go had a pin on that said They/Them I hope something it wasn't because something negative happened to make that necessary .

I was wondering if you were going to mention that. I heard it said it was because FSU starting QB was injured well why play the friggin season then if you're going to do stuff like that?

I thought there would be more comments from the readers about this possibility.After Corbin and Harlan's conversation I'm thinking Costa will make an attempt to take Elias of course if/when Harlan foils that it will be hard for him to explain to the former and current cops what's going on

Orson was willing to leaves his greatest friends and lover for Elias and Elias would not let that happen because he feels the same way about Camp Refuge I also feel in time Elias and Joseph will have a bond also.........Hey remember I said last chapter? How about a triple wedding?

If I found Cory like that of course I would call for help BUT I admit it if he is that cute I also would have checked him out.I could just see if they get serious and somebody asks "How did you two meet?" "Oh Cory fell out of a tree behind my house naked..." That would be quite a conversation starter eh? So Roy is in the closet because of his Dad? That tells me that all the homophobic slurs are going to be directed at Cory. I don't claim to know The "Family "do's and don't but one thing I have heard about is its rule that you never kill a cop.And as you mentioned there are three vets and more importantly one active cop.Does the Costa family know that if they try to get the Raven or Elias by force and the job goes awry well easily someone like Officer Wells could perish in the crossfire and that would not be good for them.

The only reason I can see why Harlan took pictures of what Elias is working on to show to The Don is that The Don is an art aficionado. If there is another reason I don't have a good enough imagination to figure it out. So the conflict I see (and apparently other readers also) Elias is making this for Jeremy if the Don offers a price for it that would keep the Raven project going will Jeremy or Elias be conflicted?
