Wow Ron in this chapter shows he can still surprise(other than posting on Monday) two things I didn't see coming I'll get to that in a minute. One thing I liked a lot was we got see the better side of a few of these characters when they went to clean and do yard work on Mrs. Bowen's house.I always thought Seth was good guy who just made some bad decisions in bad situations .Craig I wasn't so sure about but he is showing more how he really is now that he doesn't think he has to act to the image of a jock. The two surprises of course is Blake and Ty we did get a little bit of a clue in a previous chapter when Seth said in his words Blake and Ty at the lunch table talking like they were old friends.The second surprise of course is Seth seeing his Dad Of course we figured he would show eventually but not like this.One reason I speculated why Seth dad stayed away was because Julie hired a lawyer and Jim couldn't afford to fight it but according to Seth he lives in a better neighborhood then they do. So which direction will this reunion take? Will it be a tearful happy reunion or will Seth get angry and say something like why "Why did you leave me with these two monsters???"

IMO it wasn't as confusing as @Geemeedee made it out to be as I was able to see as the story went along the motivation and reasons why the bad guys kidnapped Derek Dad. But I also concur that it could have been set up better and about his point about more of an emotional response from the characters still all in all a good chapter. One small itty bitty thing thats no big deal but Derek referred to Molly Hatchet as Country Rock I have always classified them as Southern Rock like Lynyrd Skynyrd I don't remember any country elements in their songs but perhaps more recently they have done that .

How do you think he knew to do that?

They can still be business partners but one complication about staying long term is what if Vann asks Caleb to stay in Montana
