I really can't add anything to what already been said it was so well done but I will say if I heard John's voice the same way Troy did I would have reacted the same way where otherwise I wouldn't have. For 99% of other GA stories this would have been THE payoff moment of the story (maybe it is) but I see there are still 11 chapters to go so I can only conclude that Grant's Mother must be one hell of a stir the pot character. Can't wait to read it

I have to agree with @raven1this chapter is too feel good so watch out. The Brian theory about Troy finding out about the journal has now been dispelled. One huge thing happened in this chapter that might influence Troy after he finds out (yeah like every other reader I think he's going to find out) after most likely getting upset he may remember John's voice saying Hang on to him, baby. What would be a good touch would be John's voice then saying "I meant what I said "

I don't believe the details were explained but when Grant bought the house it was John's family that got the proceeds I guess.Something seems wrong about that. I wonder if John's sister tried to intercede in letting Troy have those writings. All that was accomplished was they stuck it to Troy...Did that make them feel better? How long did Troy and John live in that house? In California if a non married couple lived in the same house for 7 years they are considered common law married (I think that's the term )I wonder if Vermont has a similar law? I would love to see a way for John's family to be sued.

I don't know if this would be the right time for Brian to bring this up but since it has to do with keeping secrets Brian just might bring up Grant lying about seeing Troy's name on the loan application.Which of course brings up the journal again.Grant really doesn't need to look at it anymore so why is he keeping it around? I wonder if he thinks Troy was sorry for burning (or trying to) it and wants him to have it back that is the only reason why to keep it.Unless he burns it it is critical for Grant to tell Troy about it rather then Troy stumbling upon it but we all know which one will hit the fan harder so I can guess what will happen. It might be awhile before my next comment I suddenly have an urge to prepare Buffalo chicken dip

Armand wouldn't know what to do with himself if he stopped adopting there would be to much of a hole. I will say if they haven't done so already to start making arrangements if something happens to them . Maybe Tommy and Pepe could be the next Armand and Colin.

I'm not sure if anybody else had mentioned this yet up to this point. I am in no way qualified to make this assessment I'm just throwing this question out there.We found out Grant's Mom controlled everything about his life including his engagement can someone have so much control that the idea of being gay was a non-starter to Grant? To the point that he didn't even acknowledge to himself that a boy/man looked good? The future scenes with his Mother may reveal if there a was subtle homophobia growing up in their house

I made a mistake in a previous chapter comment about Troy and his sister it was John's sister that was allowed to visit them not Troy's after I read in this chapter what Troy's sister is really like disregard what I wrote earlier. I understand Brian being vary of Grant's motivations but I hope Brian finds out about what Grant did for that lady at the supermarket that would show Brian that Grant really wants to help Troy not just get into his pants.This is wishful thinking but does Brian or Aaron have a son that works at the supermarket who witnessed this? Then Brian could find out at Thanksgiving dinner what happened

There are so many excellent authors on GA that I was just beginning to get familiar with his excellent work.I will continue to do that so it can be argued he will always be alive through these excellent works and the excellent authors here who he influenced positively . R.I.P

I support Grant's decision to contact Brian but the HUGE f-up was mentioning that Troy is back at his old address Grant is more intelligent then I can ever hope to be judging by what he's accomplished so I have to wonder if it was realistic that Grant revealed the info.I'm not the smartest guy is the world but telling Brian that would be the LAST thing I do head would be screaming at me NO WHATEVER YOU DO DON"T DO THAT!!!!!! So I have to believe Grant would have been smart enough to do like wise. And the vague way he said Troy is at his old address made it worse I hope Brian replies to Grant's comment BEFORE he decides to go there .I can see Troy asking Brian" How did you find out I was here" What the hell can Brian say without revealing Grant's part in this? I hope Brian is smart enough to think that through. If Brian does realize that what do you want to bet that Natalie on her own will go over there and mess things up😄

As you know Parker knows something about journals if you refer to his most loved story. Grant should take his advice.I thought the breakfast for dinner thing was already pushing it.

Unless I missed it I don't think anybody has mentioned Troy's sister yet.How much much does she know or don't know? Would Grant try to contact her?

Grant knows quite a bit of Troy's story will he figure out that Troy is sleeping in his van? Grant wants to help but how does he go about it without telling Troy he 's read the journal? This is going to take some creative writing which I'm 100% sure this author has done

Danners idea of Grant putting an ad for his fence and perhaps a furnace makes sense but I also see the possibility that Troy and Grant cross paths at Grant's place of work
