I was late to the previous chapter and as soon as I commented on it the new chapter got posted I swear I didn't have an advance copy of your chapter LOL. Adam asked for alternatives besides death so I wonder if he's really going to go through with the hanging.I'm against any kind of death penalty but if I were to do that this would be one of the offenses.

So the Sheriffs knew where to find them . I don't think Pete told on them you don't bring them something to eat and drink and then call the Sheriffs. Pete said he would come back with more food in the morning so my guess is he was caught by his parents trying to do that. Being that it was two high school kids that Pete knows I would think they would talk to them to find out what's up but they called the Sherriff to get them why? I think the Pastor when he reported the incident added some worse stuff that didn't happen like they were armed and dangerous or something like that something that would activate an alert on people's smartphones or be reported on the local news that's the reason why Pete's parents called the Sheriff. From here there are three things that can happen to Matt and Charles they could end up back at the Pastor's place, back at their parent's house or in Juvenile detention I really think Juvy might be the least bad of the three options at least in Matt's case.
