I was relieved to see a little of the old Owen in this chapter When Ian was thinking "Fuck, how are they getting away with this? I looked around and found the adults sitting by the water and drinking beer. Oh well." The adults are sitting by the water drinking beer THATS how they are getting away with it. Maybe this was mentioned and I missed it is Owen back to being the drummer again? Ian said in reacting to Owen's light blue shining in his eyes " In two days there would be a full moon. Could it be?" Is that a clue? -
The lodge sounds very nice if Tim showed it to the family they might change their attitude One thing Tim may want to take the bottles of wine out before AM moves in if you know what I mean🎉

Those lyrics did Neal write them and were they inspired by West ? After I read the line fraternize with the enemy it made me think and I might have said this in a previous chapter this s story seems like a same sex West Side Story only it is set in Idaho

There's something about cute twins on the screen together that that brings out the horny side of people.I bet if Sammy had at the very beginning done his cooking videos shirtless he would have had more then 69 views.(You would have to pick the number 69 BTW as I'm typing this this chapter is at 69 views cue Twilight zone music)

I can't add to @Clancy59 "Mom is an enabler" comment.Did the family have any idea that Mom was like this or did AM trigger it? I loved Tim's line "I hope that someday we have a son like Randy"

I would normally say Tim should have stayed to hears what John's idea was but his nerves are so frazzled he had to get away. Christopher idea about Randy moving in with Tim and Stephen is a good one either that or stay at the Parkers farm anywhere but that house. If AM had past drug use would John have been able to detect it.They pretty much know nothing about what she's done all those years she was away

Wouldn't you know they would have other brainiacs as neighbors?I guess that accounts for why J.J.likes that place they moved into his neighbors have the same kind of taste. Can't wait for Henry to meet Franklin.I assume its the next chapter since J.J. alluded to it in this chapter.

What up with Ian treating Kevin the same way Owen was treating him? Complicated boy he is.The way he was describing his experience with Owen had me imaging it very vividly. I sense there's an unknown reason for Owen to keep his long sleeve shirt on.With the change in his behavior and personality since breaking up with Alex I'm going to guess he's been cutting himself hope I'm wrong🤞

The words used was Mom left Kyle's Dad I didn't see the words divorce as opposed to separation unless it was implied and I'm too dumb to catch it.If it's divorce then I hope Kyle's dad gets taken to the cleaners and has only just enough to live on the bare essentials even that is too generous he should be locked up. I would make perfect sense for Kyle and his Mom not to live in the same town as the sperm donor so why not have her move here?That way even if Mathias does some time Kyle can still keep in touch with Amy and Hudson also Kyle's Mom(What's her name?) needs a friend Amy sounds like she would be a good one.

It looks like this chapter planted the seed that AM might have brain damage if that's the case then they can convince Mom while still making some mistakes it wasn't all her fault.

Tim 's Mom laying into Randy accusing him of stalling?I reminds me of my Mom(rest her soul) and her moments of being irrational.It was usually when she was upset but after calming down and upon reflection she would come around on her own usually after an hour or two. Although it will take a group effort and more time I'm thinking Tim's mom will come around🤞

Very relevant and very, very, intense and so sadly all too real. The author does a great job of telling this story from the perspective of everyday people instead of the talking heads on TV. In this case it was the families of a gay teen couple but it could have been any of us.

After 9/11 the media talked about how some Muslims mostly teenagers but adults also have been radicalized to the point where they can't ever be reasoned with I think we have that here in the U.S.except its people who follow and believe the Trent Adams of the world. I have heard of isolated cases of individuals being former members of terrorist organization and changing their ways but its the exception we should study how they came to realize the error of their ways.I can only wish what happened to Trent Adams in your story would happen IRL but as you said what would it take for that to happen?

It may be necessary for Dad to show Mom how AM blew through $10,000 in such a short time It MIGHT and I only say might get Mom to see the reason why Tim is doing this.

I wonder if Deme might even be able to make a friend at school without Shane freaking out. it would be nice if someone could tell Shane not to so possessive but he doesn't have anybody like that to tell him. While I hope I'm wrong that's where this might be going.

Duh!!! That's right my bad.Although it would be a good twist if Ryan and Alex could suddenly be able to do that. I'm curious when Ian encountered Owen and Alex in the previous story if Alex would be able to sense there is something different about Ian. -
“She went to call your dad, and she wants him to come and get her. She’s angry for what you did.” She angry for what TIM did?? Never visiting after she left home and not even a Christmas Card for 10 years that's something to be angry at not Tim. Mom has to realize left to her own devices AM would be penniless again if Tim didn't intercede it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that

I didn't know for sure but I thought there was a reason why this story was being told from Ian's POV still a surprise somewhat.I'm going to assume the wolves were Ryan and Alex or is that that to easy? What up with Ian losing interest in Kevin so fast?Is there even something more going on with Ian🤔 -
I think I know as do most of the readers I'm sure know who Trent Adams is suppose to represent.Out of all the media outlets you mentioned the one Trent Adams is from wasn't mentioned thank you for that. I can't wait to see what Micah's plan is for the above mentioned person ( and I use that term loosely )

I was so worried when you had the lyrics to the Skeeter Davis song in the chapter I guess it pertained to Mary Ellen but I'm not sure. The timing of this chapter was also eerie as there was ANOTHER incident last week.What is it going to take for the right thing to happen?

@drsawzall alluded to this.AM could have appealed this by arguing she is a grown adult capable of handling he own affairs and not be treated like a minor with no rights.But her childish outburst gives Tim and the court plenty of evidence that the proper action has been taken. I wonder if AM was only surrounded by her stuff instead of Eva's would she have broken anything🤔
