After reading this first chapter I guess I haven't read this story before. While I think Bart's mental block is real I also think he didn't believe there was any magic with Graham because Graham seemed willing to try. The title of the next chapter implies that there will be another failed relationship with a guy named Noah I guess. One on the reasons Bart said why he didn't pursue Carlo was the age difference and when I was in HS that was so true if senior and a freshman were together most people thought the senior was to much of a loser to get someone their own age how stupid. Now there is one more hurdle If the senior is 18 some over zealous DA would want to press charges against the person.Unlikely you say? I once saw on a Washington state Sexual registry where the "offender" was 19 and the "victim" was 17🙄

I'm not sure if I read this before. I know I read a story by @Dabeagle that had running in it but I know I'm not confusing this with that one but this does sound somewhat fimilar I'll know more after I read the first chapter. One thing about Cross Country if you finished last in a meet I was still impressed hell you ran that distance.

For me and everyone else I know that went through it the first Christmas without your Mom is the toughest. Chances were his father was probably a Thompson, If Charlie does indeed have Thompson blood in him I can see that being worth an interesting story Okay, so yeah. I was an altar boy . . . but only for a very short time, when I was about twelve. And before your minds dive into the gutter, the answer is no! I'm embarrassed to admit my mind did go there

After Cottontail brother wrote that scathing piece he ends it with "peace out"? Dude is a piece of work. The way Harry acted after he noticed Jamie was there tells me he's a coward So if I was Jamie I would ask Cottontail his take on what Melinda was trying to say

This story sucks .....That's why I gave it five stars LOL. As @Lee Wilson said to @chris191070 accurate review I not afraid to say his story sucks if it is a stinker but this story is definitley not. I'll never have to worry about it though because @Lee Wilson doesn't write stinkers

Out of all the happy stuff in this chapter I guess I'm a little different I was most happy for Aunt Carmela who seemed to have a good time with Jake's family. How about a story with Shaun and David as HS kids with an older Jake and DM making an appearance? It was very realistic on how you had most of the group go on to have regular mainstream lives as heterosexuals.Even Gene but if you had written he went on to become a star Camboy I would have believed it.

For those you who might think Gerry and Neil will get together Gerry sounds like he sick of Alex doing what he's doing so maybe for that reason Neil/Gerry won't happen. The ambassador program has some good ideas but I think it's flawed to point where the effectiveness will be limited.The ambassador will try to get the bully and victim to reason .Well one trait of a bully is they don't reason and you damn well know Lucas isn't going to reason.Still it's better to try something then nothing which is what most schools seem to do

Because of YouTube classic rock acts like the Beatles are being discovered by younger people. I hope they also discover acts like these also.The Kingston Trio and The New Christy Minstrels come to mind

As far I can gather Gnomie's story has the most 5 star reviews with this story being a close second unless I'm unaware of another one.So go write a 5 star review on this story so we can tell Gnomie that Parker is catching up😄

A lot of what they did sounded tedious but it looks like it is going to be worth it. I would think the CS belt buckles would be of interest to someone.Perhaps they can make a visit to that show I think it's called Pawn stars or something like that

Some of what you wrote does get addressed in future chapters. A few other things I'm not sure so I'm looking forward to @Parker Owens response. It may be a good thing you're saying this after the story was completed . If you posted while this great story was "In process" Parker may have changed a few things. I love this story the way it is.

Interesting you ask that question very recently I had reason to google that the other day. It has declined but it still happens .And there are online communities that give tips on how and where to hitch hike or NOT to hitchhike. One person has said he does a yearly trek across the US by hitchhiking for some reason he kept records of it. A few years ago he claimed to get 269 rides this last year it was declined to 156 don't ask me what that means🤷‍♂️

I'm curious to know how Alec knows he can sing unless he was in the choir at school or something I'm sure we'll find out a little more about each other's background as we go along. A couple of things come to mind if Rick and Alec get on their feet I would like Alec to call the foster care system and tell them what happen to him that perv could be still fostering kids. While perhaps Rick's mother and brother didn't agree with what their dad did perhaps they were trying to find him I may be way off but that's my first reaction
