I was wondering if Marc was the friend from the Sorbonne. I hope this doesn't come back to bite JP in the ass.
-
I did not expect that. I have a feeling that Andre joining the army right before the Vietnam war will not end well. At least they shared their love for each other.
-
It's interesting to read the comments from people who are rereading. I'm getting glimpses of the future. I'm surprised that Frank will be featured. The bar scene almost had a "Glory Days" feel to it.
-
I have a feeling Peter will do well for himself in L.A. It's nice to see JP growing as a person.

For such a self-controlled young man, JP certainly has his moments of daring unpredictability! Another moment that stood out for me, was having to wait for a newspaper to be flown to the U.S. to get an accurate accounting of world events.

I have not read this before, not sure why not. I think I was intimidated by the time commitment. This is very well written. We know so much about JP, just from his interactions with others.

Chapter 4: Egotistical Enforcer
CincyKris commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 4: Egotistical Enforcer
No doubt this new rogue alpha is going to cause all sorts of problems. Hopefully he doesn't team up with Stefan! Please let us be there when Mace confronts the jerk enforcer when they come to the city for the sparring matches. -
Wow! The happy tears started with the apron, the symbol of Lee's new self-worth. Then we got the happy, sexy interludes with Jeremy & Mason and Joseph & Orson. Back to happy tears with the welcome home party (probably the only party Lee has ever had in his honor). Ending with the most selfless act Lee has ever made. Thank you so much for this wonderful chapter!

I LOVE how this story makes me think about things in a new way! Cyn could be a metaphor for so many people exposed to a drastically different way of life (returning soldiers, immigrants, even home-schooled kids going to college). I look forward to seeing the world through Cyn's eyes.

I can't believe I have to wait a whole week for the meeting with mom! I wonder if any of our wild guesses from the first few chapters will be confirmed? I think I'll do some re-reading Tuesday.

I think the bots are not done yet? I'm really enjoying the growing relationship, as well. When will Essell get a clue? I have a feeling he's going to be shocked.
-
That sounds about right! Especially the part about everything happening right before closing. Seems like some people become selfish when stressed and some people step up show grace. You got selfish. 😣

I think you've done a great job channeling Cyn. I would imagine that anyone with a severe phobia or social anxiety would be able to identify with Cyn's fear. If I were dropped into the ocean with a snorkel (I'm not a fantastic swimmer) into a school of sharks (after being attacked and almost killed by sharks) and then told "they won't hurt you", it would take me a hell of a long time to get comfortable.

Chapter 3: Desperate Detective
CincyKris commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 3: Desperate Detective
Great chapter! Love the idea of shadow mage doordash, the possibilities are endless. Frost mages could air condition hot areas, fire mages could heat cold areas. Life would be a lot more convenient. Congrats on getting an editor. -
This chapter was like watching a really good suspense movie, but better, because we have spent so much time getting to know and love these characters. I agonized for Avery, imagining the guilt and fear he must have been carrying, worried over Lee for his physical and mental health, cheered for Lee for making the most courageous decision of his life, and felt for Greg, who made a poor decision because he was deeply hurt by what he thought was betrayal. Wow, you packed a lot into this chapter!

This was a wonderful peaceful chapter. Probably the best vacation Rick has ever taken, he even got to go swimming!
-
Wow, we could see that Garjah was getting attached but the injury has pushed him into overdrive. He's acting like a mate.

Do you just hate legs?

Oh shit, his deer is going to freak! Also, they have a mole on the team. Oh, hey, mole people!!!!

I loved your first two stories and just started reading this one. I admit I was extremely hesitant when you mentioned at the end of chapter one that TC needed a 24/7 Master/slave relationship. While it's not my thing personally, I have read several excellent stories about loving D/s partnerships. I have never read anything indicating a Master/slave relationship could be considered a partnership (or loving, but that might be me being judgy). I very much enjoyed the above comments. I am hoping that the use of the words Master/slave was just due to unfamiliarity and that we will be reading a D/s story.

All the drama made me forget to mention two things. Just what is Harlan up to? And, it's nice to hear the houseboat is still floating around.

I have read your previous stories so I'm pretty sure we'll be happy with ending, but you're putting us through hell to get there. A tiny little part of me wishes you weren't such a good writer and gave us an easier ride. But a bigger part of me knows it will all be worth it. Thank you.

I really like your treatment of Cyn and his culture. It's almost like an alien culture or an ancient pulled out of their time and plopped down into the 21st century. Very cool.
-
Loved the chapter, especially the ending. But, I can't help but worry about what Heinrich is so happy about. He's so smug, it's like he knows it's going to piss off Rick and that makes him happy. What kind of father does that?!

Beautiful chapter. Cyn is reminiscent of an abused or neglected child or teen. It's going to take awhile for him to get the self confidence it will take for him to be ready for a relationship. It's a joy to see him grow into the person he should be.
