I like how with each successive chapter and book in the saga you accurately portray how power corrupts. The capacity of human to inflict untold horrors and pain upon each other .. The Monteilons are so greedy for power that they never took pause to reflect on what the power vacuum will lead to ..Who would fill that gap. In thinking they are strategic and wise they actually come off so tragically foolish. Zdain just been re-introduced but even he could he tell at first sight that Olza Temogam is bad news. Like how wilfully clueless can one be like Elyssa and Dareis..All the occupants in the room seem to read the room but those two useful idiots....I swear.eh Thank you!

Yet another good plot development.... Something has been planted in the Caelo/Severin ship..hihi That being said....can we start a guessing game after this chapter on who Caelo's father is.....after that narration my coin is on the dastardly Zereth himself...With the older sister being the one that was gotten ridden of the by the Quad in the previous book ..Could be wrong though!🤣😂

Whoa...I believe this is my first comment..thank you for this chapter I believe this chapter benefitted from having a multiple perspective format. especially the part involving Caelo and Severin. That being said ...I would not wish yo be anywhere near that company at the moment...the tension and awkwardness that is going to happen now that Trillion has finally gotten his head out of his ass and read the room where Severin is concerned..haha.. Thank you!

Damn....just when we getting excited....we get another bloody cliff hanger which I suspect will have reverberating consequences on the story..hihi -
I feel like in this series...you have made it a point to make Trillion as annoyingly bull headed and a jerk as possible..haha ...I do not know if am the only one but I am praying for something to happen that can humble him..He is currently too arrogant and self-centered That being said .. I like the angst that Sev stirs in Ember..

To be honest I didn't think Margot was an ice queen...If you have read enough of Casual 's works you know if a character comes off so perfect or controlling it usually means that is a facade...that said character is using that as an armour to hide the imperfections inside.. That being said....I agree with you...even Nora ,our resident ice queen acknowledged it which is all the better for us for I believe without that interaction we would not have reached the beautiful destination that the trio find themselves at the conclusion of the chapter!

Maestro ...wherever you are ...first come see what @CasualWanderer82 has dropped on us this round ..This is a detonation and more! Let me even get offline because it's that incredible....the scenes between Margot and Nora...the dynamic between Max and Daniel...and that love scene at the end of the chapter .C'est magnifique!..Stupendo!.. Got me thinking in different languages even....am outta here

@CasualWanderer82...you have this knack for choosing the right titles for the chapters...The title of this chapter definitely fits what transpires at the end of this chapter.. This was a really sad chapter for me. A dear friend mentioned me being wrong in my comment about Daniel's transformation being complete in the previous chapter..He was so right. What happens in this chapter for both Alec and Daniel ,but mostly for Daniel, is a re-calibration . What even makes this chapter all the more profound for me is the interactions that Daniel has with Theo, the Merger talks and finally whatever that thing with the 3 French guys was . You have written unraveling before ...what happens with Daniel in the course of this chapter is something else. Thank you!

This chapter subtly hints at the imminent obstacles that await this family(Dec/Rowan, Aiden and Cianan).I like to believe that is why Declan is wary as seen from his comment to his husband. Am I the only one thinking that taking that vial to a scientist is a bad decision?..That it might put this family under scrutiny...Have watched enough movies...where this never ends well. Thank you!
