OMG, wow, that plot twist was heartbreaking. I was so into the characters and the good they were doing. Then to find out it was just the imagination of a very distraught man aching over the loss of his love. Not unhappy, but surprised, and given the title, it fits. Rocked to the Core… -
So a little back story, he got very little information before Beatrice transformed into a being of light. She said you wolves, like she is not one herself. And was that glow he saw on himself a transference of power, or something that was there that he is just now seeing? And what if the curse? Was that the red energy? So many questions. Looking forward to more.

Wow, it took Lucas telling Jubal about his background for Jubal to open up, and the dam burst… so much hurt and a need for survival that kept him emotionally closed off. So glad they got to this point. They are great for each other.

Damn, it looked like Zafiro was going to be getting help, but it didn’t seem like that happened. All of his friends are dead, and he seems to have killed Maksim when he mentioned Roy. Hopefully things get better. Are the implanted chip the voices in his head?

Robert should be able to prove its Kalum in jail with the broken arm and physical trauma, but will anyone believe it was not him with the gun initially?

Great chapter, lively banter, making new friends, learning from rare manuscripts. It’s interesting all of the potential abilities that Greg could have. The fun banter on the trip home. Loving this story.

These boys really need to talk about Soren just being a mage. That may change Connor’s desire to be a werewolf. Or not.

Very interesting vacation to end their summer. Loved the different venues. Some of that reminded me of traveling with my grandparents when I was young. We always packed or made lunches and picnicked on the travels, mostly to save money. Ind been to the Garden of the Gods but had no idea of the other places. Looking forward to book 2.

Jubal not knowing it was Sunday, coming into town. That’s why there were so many people around. He has done some amazing things. First saving Lucas, then getting rid of a gang of wanted thieves. Would draw some attention. The scene in the hotel room was painful. Hopefully he will get back home, get some more work done and forgive himself. We’ve got 3 days before the Doc will let Lucas go home…

Now there is a culprit to assign the home invasion to for the boys. Hopefully the lawman will do something to help. Garland better watch out or he may end up a popsicle…

That part about the sibling was exactly what I thought his father was trying to tell him. Very glad the letters were written to explain everything. Now there will be some serious decisions about what to do for the infant. Looking forward to the next book.

Great story, the coming out was very anticlimactic, and like his father said with their professions it was not a surprise, the were glad he finally told them.

I love the hard work and introspection that Jubal took on this day. I really like the way he took a while to design the stairs. The way you described the construction, they seem to be suspended, which is a very interesting approach, and something a true craftsman would do. Their home is coming together nicely.
