This ending is leaving the reader with hope that Jake is seeing a better path forward. Boon really is a good husband letting his husband go through what he needed with an unrequited love from his youth. They have plans for the future. I for another would like to read the other stories in this series as well. The sequence is not as important as having the content available. I often find stories here and then go read the author’s prior works. -
Sev made a good decision, it saved Ember, and Sev’s relationship with Caelo. Now a bit more of a plan. Maybe someone from this Mossmere will be on their way to Noxcarra and join them. Prophecies in songs are seldom wrong, just how people interpret them…

That was a big twist. This just gets more interesting. Illusion within illusion. Sneath did get what was coming for him for starting a war.

I know it sounds crazy but why not just sen Fenn in to get Ain out? Maybe with 1 other person? He could hide them in Shadows. It was impressive having Fenn shadow the large space. And since the lower level has no windows it should be even easier there.

Fun outing day. Riley learning to drive, the market was interesting, dinner date was amazingly over the top. Ben did great with that. The intimacy is getting better. But now there is a threat coming, with Kier an Lee… hopefully they don’t hurt Riley, or they won’t live very long…

Jake survived enough to run away from a terrible situation, trading what he had to get to where he thought he wanted to be, then dissolution showed him the reality and he joins the Marines. He’s already been in his own boot camp… wonder why Junior wanted to meet him so badly? -

This ghost assist on the guitar solo seems to lock him in as a great contender for the competition. The other 2 have a ways to travel. Very interesting story. -
Love the interaction between the guys and Sky’s suggestion that they go from a bottom relationship to a more balanced vers relationship. Brant joked about it, but did not really say how he personally felt about that. They quickly got rid of the woman intimacy coordinator. They want it to be more natural feeling. Seems like they’re filming porn, but with the most intimate aspects ceding cut out… or they could do an R rated version and an XXX version.

Sev is still warring with himself about his orders to kill anyone who got in the way of his mission, his own bond with Caelo will make that impossible to do that to Caelo, but he’s still considering Ember…. And Emberknows something is wrong with him.

Fenn has suffered so much his whole life, from the beginning being treated like a slave, until Zain found him, even then he didn’t have much belief in himself, which is how he was so easily manipulated by Daryan. I’m glad they finally stopped lying and told him Ain was alive and they were going to rescue him. He will likely be very important in the dark tunnel to get them to the other end.

Ben is slowly learning that he likes intimacy, with Riley leading the way. Riley was awesome detecting the threat at the Gala, and averting them from possibly hurting Ben.

Ember was very useful in the fight, like he always is, people tend to underestimate him. His identifying the controller elk saved them all. We knew something was going to happen with Sev and Caelo, did not expect the bond though. Now they need that third party frequency changer more than ever.

Hopefully he tells Graeme about taking the drug and how it made him feel. They don’t need that kind of secrecy tearing their friendship apart.

This is a very sad chapter, that must have been a huge kind of prey bird to attack a large child like that. Very sad for everyone. Then the memories of death that Malik experienced in his past were pretty horrible. At least he is helping by preparing food. Seems like they are building a pyre outside.

I loved how Lenix jumped bodies into Simon thinking that would get him out of the Marriage… really seems like Ricardo has not thought through what he needs in a marriage…. What happened to Charlie. I though he was going to sneak in and get them out?

Thokk is really attracted to the younger blacksmith. And that bothers him. It’s not unusual in their culture apparently, but he just doesn’t find any of these women good enough.

The zip lines sound like a lot of fun.
