    Fae, maybe I didn't go into it as well as I should have, but Pat had shown previously that he was going to make the best of a bad situation and not complain. The operation restored his sight in one eye, so he was doing the best he could with that. As far as his scars, it was part of a very large group and was able to use them to shield himself from others, so not many others noticed his situation. Thanks for the feedback and I'll try to remember this if I ever do a rewrite.

    Yes, Fae, Christmas is a wonderful time, but even more so with special things going on too. Establishing the Foundation and the visit from the Japanese grandparents added to the fun.

    Yes, Fae, some people just aren't fit to be parents. It's a shame that there isn't a way to determine that before they have children.

    She writes like the mother of a friend I had in high school. She grew up in Korea and obviously didn't pick English easily. It also reminded me of a few frustrating phone calls to customer service about Windows in the past, since I couldn't understand a damn thing the person was saying. Fortunately, at least you could get the gist of what Catherine was saying - we'll do anything for you to get rid of that bad review before it affects our Christmas business. lol
