Journey To Proxima Centauri b
Flip-Flop commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Journey To Proxima Centauri b
The Centaurians turned out to basically do nothing but provide an environment for farms of human livestock to exist, with the humans doing all the hard work. I was surprised that they were totally honest about that fact! I was also very surprised they allowed the remaining humans to leave. 🤔 I would have thought that microwaved frozen human dinners, would be better than no human dinners at all ❣️ -
The Manor is encased in a deep history and vast wealth. Each generation adding their own personal touches, while keeping its history alive and in full formal display. The Moon God's appearance and his protective blessings was a surprise, as was the roar of rapping that disturbed the night, and then retreated from the hallway. An interesting introduction to the Manor and to it's loyal and capable staff. Also there was a small hint with further discussion promised of "the lady in Black"! I only hope that the Gods will also extend protection to Kareem, who is not part of the lovemaking and bonded union of the other three. ❤️

The clerk only hoped he couldn't break any more. The captain is more than willing to test that theory.

This story has thrived by adding fuels to fires from the very beginning, with Lucas being our biggest arsonist. But Lucas is is now experiencing his own intense fires from his sad and abusive family background. The potential for adding more fuel to any of this story's fires is very likely, and that is what keeps me worried. 😟 @Ronyx seems to be a master of creating and stirring fires, and then adding more potential fuel. He keeps me wondering, "what next"❣️

Neil's emotional reactions to his mother dating Mr. Collins appear to be somewhat extreme and selfish. Double standard is a term that he needs to understand. Lucas pops out of the darkness to confront Sammy and Gerry. Will Alex be able to catch up with them? Will the Student Ambassador Program work? Lots of questions, raised in this chapter. 🤔

The clerk is also conflicted over his reactions, and that has kept him alive! The blood dripping from the Captain's sword when he returned to his quarters, reflects noncompliance is not an acceptable option to his commands. It is best to be a "Good Boy" for now, if the clerk wants to continue to stay alive. 🗡️

Ghosts? After this group's past experience with the power of the Egyptian Gods, I would think that they are more curious than fearful, of the manor's spirit guests. Their travel views and conversations on the journey to the manor, gave us a nice mix of interesting personal stories and Thorne Manor history. They saw the beauty of the peaceful green countryside, and also Jim's delightful view of the somewhat organized chaos and stories to be witnessed in the hectic city life of Liverpool. A good setup chapter, for arrival at their new home base.

Ditto to the above quote. I was happy to see, the bonding and support taking place between Vanessa and Josh. The fact that Jordan is now realizing that he is the one that has changed, and not his mother, also seems like a positive development in their relationship. This chapter is built on trust and support issues, and that Josh would also have to agree to how they should proceed in this process. They are fortunate to have time to prepare before the sex ring is able to catch up with them. Surely the sex ring must know that Josh could help to bring them all to justice. The support team's main job would be Josh;s safety and to protect Josh, by only working with completely honest and not corrupt officials and lawyers. This will likely be a hard and difficult situation on all them. I am keeping my fingers crossed for positive outcomes, as this story continues. 🤞

So sorry to hear about your area's and other areas heart breaking weather fire/wind/flooding problems @Fae Briona. The jet stream winds have been going crazy for the last 3 weeks. In northern Ohio we spent two weeks below freezing, but the winds from the south have now given us a couple of low 70 degree days, but today our winds were also 60 to 70 mph. Mother Nature appears to be showing her displeasure worldwide! Wishing safety to all.

The quote below was part of my comment from the previous chapter. It was nice to hear Michael Gibson echo my thoughts of the care they put into their business. This was also another great chapter with unexpected surprises that their guests and TV viewers all witnessed! This publicity should reap rewards from the high end traveling public, and the award voters. If I could have my way, they would have my business , but any award needs to be shared by @Andre Delport ❣️

Another holiday? Good for you , and a bonus chapter good for us! This story gets more upbeat with each chapter. Well done! I hope their good fortunes will continue. 😊

Is hitchhiking common anywhere? I don't remember the last time I saw a hitchhiker locally. It was quite common when I was growing up. The boys lucked out getting quick rides on their way to south Florida and warm weather. Alex had squirreled away enough money to get them an efficiency apartment for a couple of months, and also a security deposit. They also scored jobs at a gay bar and restaurant, and made friends with benefits, of Marty and Tyler. Things appear to be falling into a good plan for a safe and warm place to stay! It sure beats camping under bridges.up north for the winter. I hope their good fortune continues.

My spring smile has faded and my hair is much more grey now.

I bought into this cast and premise of your first Egyptian story and am looking forward to find out what is in store for them, in this follow up tale. I have become more appreciative and comfortable, with the paranormal experience in my readings on GA, and am looking forward to seeing this group's future experiences. The contrasts of cultures, time periods and lore in your writing, along with your "descriptive" style, has helped to piqued my interest. Thanks! Your enjoyment in writing is a plus, for all of us❣️

Happy to be back with Reggi and his fellow adventurous travel cohorts. They have shared a life altering and enriching experience in Egypt, and are now preparing for travel to Thorne Manor, Reggi's base of operations. This should prove to be very interesting and we hopefully, will soon find out what the Egyptian Gods have to discuss about his and his companions future❣️

Brenda seems to have overcome her bitterness and shame over the result of her marriage with Brian, and now has the thought that it is time for her to move forward with her own life. The knotted edges of the tie from the closet floor, revealed clues of what a rejection of Neil could have led to, and she is now more able to deal with his, and own her feelings. Brother Brett is a happy and delightful youth, that is such a refreshing character, in a story of complex emotions. ❤️ The situation with Lucas and his family is very sad, and his options are getting to be few. His shrinking dark world is closing in on him, and he knows it. 😟

Welcome to the current American debate. Many suicides of youth in our schools are a result of students not getting any needed support, as a result of this unenforced policy about bullying. Despite parents efforts to get the schools to enforce rules against physical and verbal bullying after incidents, the student is just suspended and sent home, with no further action being taken or offered. The student then feels isolated with no hope about his/her situation, and suicide was the result. There are examples of this happening in my own community. Sadly Neil was not the only one to feel these effects, when he was alone in his closet with the tie attached to the clothes rod.

Vanessa is very active in a group of gossips. Perhaps that item popped up, because it seemed to me, that many in Sidney seemed to know all about Jordan's history with Adam, and his family. The way his parents treated Jordan, I am sure she kept up with their actions, in order to protect her son. This is just my guess. Time or @Paladin will tell.

I was afraid that there would be problems before the three were able to leave Stingray Heads, and start their trip to Sydney. The abusers are definitely trying to locate the whereabouts of Joshua. Vanessa's opinion of Joshua's uncle was very accurate. She could smell a rat, when one crossed her path! Jordan and his father need to assemble a first rate legal team and honest uncorrupted police, pronto! The bad guys are likely to make known the impact of their influence very soon. Joshua's safety is the top priority now❣️

The guys seem to be starting to understand what may have been going on for years, with their relationship with Lucas. Lots of interesting developments in this chapter, that appear to be setting us readers up for new dynamics in the future. 🤔 Looking forward to see where @Ronyx will be taking us next, in his intriguing tale?

@Albert1434 your cowboy poems are wonderful. The lonely and rough life of the cowboy in their environment sometimes sounds so very beautiful. but for me it would be "a nice place to visit, but I sure wouldn't want to live there". 😊 ❤️

It was a sad beginning for Rick and Alex, that left both boys homeless and feeling lonely. Hopeful that good fortune comes to them, as they begin their journey to warmth and a better life. Too many youths end up in such dire situations. 😟

"That big goober Lucas" is getting desperate, and will do anything to escape from his uncle and hide his long history of being sexually abused. Neil's family is becoming united in the idea that he should return to his school in Farmersville, and "not run away from his problems." Alex and Gerry may add surprising support, with that decision. Neil's former friends are learning the very high price of not standing up to a desperate Lucas. There is a lot happening in this chapter, and Neil remains justifiably skeptical, with good reasons. Another well written chapter in this complex story.

Drama and tension is indeed coming to this newly formed family and for us, the readers of their story. I expect many tissue moments ahead! I will take hope from this quote taken from the Part 2 story listing page: ❤️ I will try to keep these happy thoughts in mind, when my emotions and my tears, get the best of me. 😢

I am totally shocked and saddened by Joshua's revelations! There will be no easy fix to dealing with the powerful forces they will surely encounter ahead. I can only hope that Jordan and Cameron will be able to create a powerful force of their own to resist the evil that is sure to quickly come their way. What a highly emotional, and heartbreaking start to Part 2 by @Paladin. 💔 I hope that Jordan and Cameron are able to assemble, and provide the support and care that Joshua will surely need in moving forward. in the complex battles that will be ahead for this "new family".
