    Chapter 16

The great fear of a seemingly out of control and crazed Lucas, is the ingredient that is causing the pot to appear ready to boil over, and no one wants to be the person who will suffer from the inevitable first-degree burns! Threats have been made against all of the group of classmates now, and no one wants to be found alone by him. Is Neil reading Owen correctly? 🤔 Maybe? I am afraid this statement will be tested, very soon, ☹️
  2. “Land ahead!” What changes are ahead for the Clerk? He realizes that he had already sunk to a new low, but will Joshua's treatment of him become even more demanding at the hideout? What could possibly lie ahead for him on land? Probably. true! ☹️
  3. Thanks @Gary L, for reminding me of the conversion formula. I had to look it up and write it down, so I can find out what the rest of the world is feeling. Without using this forgotten formula, I had little or no idea of how to relate to Celsius readings. It's hard if not impossible for us old Fahrenheit users to accurately convert and understand temperatures degrees without using it.
  4. Wow! Big changes have been made for Bart and Noah in this chapter. A new large home, a great sex life, a planned marriage with a discussion of having children in their future. They are very happy right now, and planning for their shared future together. What new ingredients will @Lee Wilson add, when he starts to stir this pot of good times? We all know changes are bound to creep into and rock, this happy loving "unicorn moment". There was no mention of Bart's meetings with Doctor Carlo Marini. I doubt his input into this story is over, and all things will be smooth sailing ahead.

    Chapter 6

The chapter's title "Black Days" had set my expectations on edge, but not for this very sad development. There will be more sad days ahead at Thorne Manor for family, and all concerned. Reggie and his mother will really depend on the unconditional support from his fellow companions, in order to help them to deal with their family's heart-felt grief. 💔 The joyful feelings of a happy homecoming has now become a very great sorrow at the Manor, and for a now shocked Reggie.

    Into the Abyss

This short concise writing style has shown the constant tension in the air for the clerk from the very beginning of this story. 🤔 His mind has been in a constant state of motion as he tries to understand his experiences, and his own reactions to them. He seems to stuck in a breathless struggle for understanding, that can be felt by the reader. Very well done @Rafy!
  7. Happy to see that some important progress has been made by Bart, with Noah's support. Dr. Carlo seems friendly, and very understanding with Bart's long held problems and gives him space to work on them, without rushing him into any kind of quick fix, to such long established behaviors. So far, it appears to be going well. I hope this progress can and will continue to have positive results for this couple❣️

    Chapter 4

Jordan had done well in anticipating the steps Patrick O’Brien would have to make to properly move forward in their investigation of an out of state case. He also recognized that this case was "an even bigger crime than they had believed and one that would require more resources". What was very encouraging was the fact that he was prepared to cancel his previous plans of a personal vacation, in order to walk this case through the proper steps needed within the judicial system. He felt that the unique background of this case required that he and his staff pay extra attention as to whom gains certain knowledge of Josh's case, and how to shield Josh and his supporters from possible threats. This is exactly what Jordan, Josh and his supporters were hoping to see from him. ❤️ Another great chapter in this evolving story!
  9. OK, I will admit that I have not read the 2 previous "Jacksonville Jaunts" stories, that appear to be all about Carlo Marini. Will I be totally lost due to this? I have to admit that I am now invested into this Bart / Noah relationship. Any advice @Lee Wilson? Do I need to first go back to read that history, to move forward in my understanding of this story? Yes, I am embarrassed to ask about this now. 😁

    Chapter 5

Quite a change from Egypt for Omar and Kareem. A good time was had by all❣️ The only downfall seemed to be ,,,,,
  11. I feel we are digging into the weeds here, but perhaps there may be a dual role available, for a good bookkeeper
  12. They say possession is 90% of the law and at this moment the captain is enforcing his law on his ship and crew! It is unknown how long previous pets may have lasted, or what was acceptable when he played this game before, but the rules should now be known by all aboard the ship. 🗡️ This will undoubtedly help the clerk to survive. Pet is a bookkeeper and not a seasoned sailor, and has been passed out, or slaving to the Captain's whims and chores for days. Unless someone slips about the hideout location, I doubt that the clerk has any idea of where they could be right now. His thoughts now are mixed with delusion, and his own self-imposed religious punishment. 😟

    Chapter 15

A lot is happening in this chapter on all fronts, and I am unsure what the future may hold for all concerned. There appears to be so many actions and reactions going on, that it is very hard to conceive where the next possible drama will occur, or who will be involved. I have the feeling that is exactly where @Ronyx wants us to be at this point, in his story. 🤔 ❤️
  14. Sorry that Bart didn't find his desired closure, but it was only a very brief grave visit. Noah has been very understanding and supportive of Bart throughout their relationship from the beginning. I'm afraid that it may take a long time for Bart to work out his long term issues. 🙁

    Chapter 4

An impressive introduction into the scale of the manor and grounds. I know we have meet the main members of the staff, but that has to be just a small portion of the workers needed for upkeep and maintenance of such a vast estate, The money and number of workers involved in keeping it in pristine condition must be extremely costly. Reggie's wealth is unimaginable!
  16. Golf also has the term FORE which means be careful and keep watch for the unexpected, Just saying!

    Chapter 12

I am hoping that they will be more creative then using the same ploy that Victor used, that is now subject to a much more detailed investigation. 🤔

    Chapter 12

There were nineteen school board members and the vote was seventeen to two. These people seemed to have a good grasp of the situation, with the exception of the two votes that belonged to Victor's parents. That seems to say a lot. Aunt Vienna also let Victor's parents know not to mess with her family, or they can expect their own dirty laundry, will be aired out in view of the community. Will they use June in a way to turn up the heat on Victor? As stated so eloquently by Will, “We need to let him know we know without letting him know we know. If that makes sense". We shall see, soon I hope. Well done!

    Marked and Owned

"Every small kindness laced with control" Control over his pet, his collared and chained "Good Boy", gives the captain and the master of the ship and crew, great satisfaction. We and the clerk finally learn his name from the tag on the clerk's collared neck, "PROPERTY OF JOSHUA ASHFORD". The unnamed clerk (does he really deserve a name) is now marked as the captain's property and will do as told or suffer the consequences. The clerk could easily lose himself if he hasn't already, the longer that he continues to submit, but he will live to see another day. Right now, this seems to be his only survivable option. 🤔

    Chapter 11

How true this statement appears to be. Victor will be relentless in his attacks on Jonah, and keep turning the screws until they can find a way to stop him. I am happy to hear that you didn't forget about this story. I checked in on this story days ago, hoping I didn't miss a new chapter. Your promise of fun things to come, sounds good to me.
  21. "Avil├ęs"? Strange name for a bar/restaurant? A brief chapter introducing us readers to Noah, also a new to the area, and story title character. Waiting to see how they move forward from this point, after this helpful and gay friendly encounter between the two of them. So far it opens opportunities for both men. We shall see how this plays out, in future chapters.

    Epilogue

A heartfelt gay youth "from rags to riches" story, that had me rooting for the characters from the very beginning! This struggle created bonds and new found friends, that endured. Well done @chris191070❣️ Enjoy your upcoming holiday visit
  23. All the finalists were winners and have a chance to move on to great music careers, but Alec came out with the coveted top prize❣️ Andy and Carlos are moving on to opportunities for both, in New York City. Rick's worries about how this would affect the couple's future, was reassured by Alec, that they are bonded together for the long run. They appear headed towards a long term "happy ever after" conclusion, which is also my desire for them. A very good chapter, indeed. Well done @chris191070!
  24. OOPS! I kinda overlooked, this statement.
  25. The Centaurians turned out to basically do nothing but provide an environment for farms of human livestock to exist, with the humans doing all the hard work. I was surprised that they were totally honest about that fact! I was also very surprised they allowed the remaining humans to leave. 🤔 I would have thought that microwaved frozen human dinners, would be better than no human dinners at all ❣️
