Well, thinking of the absurb--Is this upsetting and thought provoking situation designed by the author as a way of ending George's naval career? Lord St Vincent's assumptions acceting the charges will forever taint Calvert and Granger. Or is this cliffhanger a set up for a deus ex machina solution ? "Deus ex machina is a plot device whereby a seemingly unsolvable problem in a story is suddenly or abruptly resolved by an unexpected and unlikely occurrence."

I hope you have not given up on this story......

This dream, if is one, is very vivid and painful. Nathan really suffered and is being prepared for his death in a cell. He thinks Brohm is dead and Lord Helmsley has been killed by the demon. Nathan has some serious guilt and is revealing his fears so strongly. Will we find out the truth in the next chapter? Even if this is a dream, the realistic fear and pain he senses could do him in.

Morris -Walker handeled the mess superbly at the press conference. He told a story by ommission and carried out Jamie's insight. “I begin to see that truth is only a level of omission, Minister.” “Jamie, that is one of the cleverest things I have ever heard you say. That charge of Calvert neing a homosexual and having a lover and making advances on an enemy of George was something out of the blue. Lord St Vincent the side of the accuser and thinks he unable to appoint him to a ship. He only has begun to see how Granger wil fight this charge that will touch on him. George knows how to work the levers of power in ways St Vincent cannot understand . BTW, if Calvert is not put on a ship, I bet Granger will not get a ship for a very long time when he gives us this one. Granger's solution for Calvert is to seduce a princess. The wild card is for the French to try to capture the King with Granger and Calvert taking a prominent role in his defense. The King will bestow honors on the oficers for sure. St Vincent cannot punish them afterwards.

Oh No--The cometskipper is being drained of power and now it is being boarded. Fonith tries a Hail Mary last desparate act and pushes a button. Screams are heard through out What has happened? Have beings been killed? Are Fonith and her friends captured? Quigley's wife and child are hidden in a safe room.

Oh No--Lord Crusnik has gained control of Simon to the dismay of Yidian. Simon's Orcs are sent away. Lord Crusnik will take Simon away and train him. But , is he going to train him to be a better wizard or to be his sexual slave primarily? He died nearly 300 years ago and cannot produce sperm so Yidian is not satisfied. But Julian or Lord Crusnik has a strange sexual allure and compelling appeal to Simon who is now acting as his sexual slave to his dom master.
