  1. Thanks. I'm not sure I want to know anything about your experience with angry holes.
  2. I hear that. I know most, hell, almost all, of mine are serious. Maybe I'll try some more comedy in the future now that I know my sick sense of humor is appreciated by some, at least.
  3. I'm happy.
  4. Sometime our principles contribute to that something. Like I wouldn't kill someone to get around that obstacle.
  5. Brendan left Kathy's house dejected. In just over a week, he'd lost his parents, his home, and his temporary living space. He decided he'd also lost a sister. What she did was unforgivable. She could have at least let him explain. But then he thought, 'What good would that do? Him being gay would equate to him being a pervert in her eyes forever.' It was about an eight-mile walk to his old house in Silverstreet, and he still had his keys. He decided he'd crash there until he found something
  6. Mission accomplished.
  7. A wonderful end to this segment. Hopefully Jacob doesn’t get much grief back at school.
  8. You’ve all heard, seen, or read one or more stories about a kid getting trapped in a well, right? But how many are told from the well’s point of view? None, right? I thought not. Here’s one, at least. As you may have guessed, I am a well. Eh, technically a flooded chasm. But any body of water can act as a well, can’t it? What is a well, anyway? A hole in the ground one can retrieve water from. So, drop a bucket in me, take it out, and therefore, I’m a well. But I will warn you; you don’t wa
  9. The boy in the well, told from the well's point of view.
  10. A year and a half later, it’s all been said. But I will reiterate, great job Jeff.
  11. Late to the party, but looking forward to what comes next.

    Chapter 2

Well, apparently my fear was at least partially realized. I’ll keep going, but I’m not liking the direction this seems to be heading.

    Chapter 1

Perhaps it’s the pessimist in me, but I have a feeling the four boys are essentially being sent to their deaths. I haven’t read ‘The Lottery’ in forever, but I’m reminded of Stephen King’s ‘The Long Walk.’ 100 young men take part, only one can be alive at the end. Is this a non-violent ‘Purge?’

    Prologue

Okay, this has been sitting on top of the stories page long enough to keep ignoring it. Interesting, and timely premise.
  17. No arguments here.
  18. Ain't I a stinker?
  19. Like we said as kids, that's for me to know, and you to find out. Hehe.
  20. A terribly perfect match.

    Steven's Story

The POS-rents were equal opportunity abusers.
  22. And as we know, they got it.
  23. Thanks. But the question remains, is this something real, or a figment if my twisted imagination?
  24. You’re welcome. Yes, it can fit so many different situations in life.
  25. Thanks. Like Billy Joel sang, you may be right.
