    Still Alive, Dumbass is a poignant story that portrays realistic emotions, haunting thoughts, nightmares, doubts, and insecurities. Traversing PTSD, depression, and grief is not a gentle journey. Anyone who knows those challenges will relate to Kent’s experiences as he struggles to move forward and learn to come to terms with the traumas of his past.     Oh tim, I’m so sorry you’re having such a tough time. It’s exhausting trying to explain to others the tiredness that comes with depression. Even others with milder forms don’t get it. Sending with this is a warm, gentle hug, wishes for relief, and brighter days. There are so many of us who fight this battle. Just reading your words brought a breath of relief, knowing someone understands that kind of tiredness.

    NOTE: Those who missed it might wish to read The Estate, published 12/25/2025 - 01/13/2026, before beginning this book. Right Then is the continuation of Riley Shaw’s story after Kieran abandoned him to survive Cradle Grove on his own.
