Preferring to click reactions, I don't often comment. However, your words above left my heart heavy. It's amazing how some respond so strongly to what they find unexpected. Personally, IMHO, the entire chapter was fantastic! Is it sad Vincent lost his magical powers? Sure! There was a price to pay though and honestly, what was offered makes perfect sense. Excellent job, keep up the good work!!!
For someone with both professional and personal experience in the vile and traumatic world of abuse and exploitation of children, Kept Boy to Made Man is a phenomenal representation of what victims and survivors of such atrocities endure. A challenging must read for those interested in examples of experiences of those who have been traumatized.
Readers can follow along the often treacherous and trying paths taken by the victims, survivors and those courageous and compassionate enough to step forward and help. One man's bravery in taking the first step to defend a teenager in an untenable life crisis leads to an unimaginable future not only for the teen and his attorney but many who will ultimately become an army of caring, loyal family of choice.
OMF... this chapter seriously should have come with a laughter warning! Frankly, going was rough reading it in the middle of the night and trying to refrain from cracking up out loud so as not to wake anyone else in the house.
Poor Baker no waffles treats or loans of hoodies.
The problem with these stories is that it's the middle of the night and I was trying desperately to control my laughter so as not to disturb anyone else. Well, that didn't work!🤣
Soooo much fun! Hope you write more in future.
Great story but ugh!!! I knew starting it that there wasn't an ending but seriously this cliffy is so much worse than anticipated. If ever time allows, please finish the story. 🤗
Deeply moving this story. I especially appreciated the inclusion of the Nazi horrors at the likes of Mauthausen concentration camp among others. Gramps brief speech had me in tears.
Aaahh misadventures of youth. A tale beautifully told and funnier than anything I've read in quite some time. Excellent! The only thing that would make it better is to share their adventures visiting other relatives.
What a lovely story of true love being found and fought for. Tears of both joy and sadness as this so reminds me of mine and how much he is missed. Well done and thank you for sharing.
Incredible, still my favorite of your stories and this final chapter... hats off to you!
The one thing I don't get is feedback about the language because it makes the story and the characters showing depth of despair, emotions... Perhaps because I've been there, felt that and sometimes still do. Love the honesty.
